MSFS City Update: Las Vegas (Released)
Fly Tampa,
Do you know how the upcoming MSFS City Update: Las Vegas may affect your scenery if both are installed?

Re: Upcoming MSFS City Update: Las Vegas
Was thinking about this since it was announced, hopefully we can get compatibility from FT so we can use the best of both worlds

Re: Upcoming MSFS City Update: Las Vegas
We need Emilios to chime in and let us know how it behaves. If FT has the right exclusions, they should both work together. I'll test this this afternoon. Some of the added features like suburbs of Vegas and the Hoover Dam bridge would be nice to have.

You can disable the Asobo Strip in the content manager.FrankGehry wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 11:25 am We need Emilios to chime in and let us know how it behaves. However, I hope to see FT do a bit more optimizing with their city because its a pretty hard hitter.

Are there any conflicts or compatibility issues with the City Update?

If you uninstall Asobo's Las Vegas Strip portion of the city update, then both work harmoniously together to give you the best of both worlds which is 1) FT's Vegas strip and Asobo everything else (Hoover Dam Bridge, etc.)
I also edited FlyTampa's sphere so that it stays on during the day.

Re: MSFS City Update: Las Vegas (Released)
I went into the XML files and removed the portion of code that tells it to turn off during the daytime. I can create a tutorial in another post.01pewterz28 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 9:07 amHow did you do that (leaving the Sphere on during the day as well?FrankGehry wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 6:45 amIf you uninstall Asobo's Las Vegas Strip portion of the city update, then both work harmoniously together to give you the best of both worlds which is 1) FT's Vegas strip and Asobo everything else (Hoover Dam Bridge, etc.)

I am struggling to find where to carry out the following:

Please could you provide instructions how to do?
Thanks in advance.

Re: MSFS City Update: Las Vegas (Released)
Go to the Vegas City Update, and click the list icon on the far left...it should then show the strip separately from the rest of the city. You can then delete the strip.yvrbc wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2024 3:12 amHiFrankGehry wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 6:45 amIf you uninstall Asobo's Las Vegas Strip portion of the city update, then both work harmoniously together to give you the best of both worlds which is 1) FT's Vegas strip and Asobo everything else (Hoover Dam Bridge, etc.)

You will find the ASOBO or MICROSOFT strip in the Content Manager (within MSFS).
You disable the strip from within the Sim.
