Re: Stuttering over approach lights
Are you using Shockwave/A2A 3D lights add-on? I had that same problem awhile back on my last PC. For some reason the 3D Lights and some runway lights tried to fight for resources.

Re: Alpha-less DXT3 textures
So how does one go about applying this fix if he is an average end user like me? I like the idea of no lag.

Re: KBUF Perimeter Fences
Here's the shadowless fence fix. Just replace the existing files & add the new fence.bgl. I'd be interested to know if this fixes it. I could be the fancy GFX card can't handle FS9s 200 year old shadow technology :) Thanks. I will text it out in a little bit and post back. Could be right about ...

Re: KBUF Perimeter Fences
http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-quadro-fx-5800,6580.html Good read, the comments too. Well, I use the Pc mostly for CAD and that is what it is designed for. I have an NVidia 9800 as well and had it installed as a secondary (gaming) card but the Quadro blew it away. Anything else you ...

Re: KBUF Perimeter Fences
Alright, I'll try separating the fences now. Might take me up to an hour tho. Really? Wow, that's really nice of you man. I am shocked to see that a developer would do that for a single customer. Awesome service! I was not expecting it. Most developers won't even reply to customers. BTW, your scene...

Re: KBUF Perimeter Fences
you sure you mean a GForce 5800? That's a 7 year old gfx card. Could be the bottleneck. I have an I7 & get 80+ fps maxed out in FS9. I'll look at removing the fences into separate files for a later patch tho. The problem is, the scenery is primarily for FSX which allows per shader shadow occlus...

Re: KBUF Perimeter Fences
I have a killer system, Core i7, 8Gb Ram, GForce 5800... etc. It's not the grass (I tried that already) it's the ground shadows drawn by all the fencing. I hate removing ground shadows but I just wish they were not modeled ino the fences since they are not really needed there and look sort of strang...

KBUF Perimeter Fences
Love KBUF but.. is there any way to remove the perimeter fences? They hit the frames pretty hard even in fs9.
Thanks.
Thanks.
