Stuttering over approach lights
Nice job on KBUF--nice surprise. I've got a top end system (i7 extreme 965/3.8Ghz/Nvidia GTX 285 at 2GB/8GB DDR 3 RAM/etc) and have had no issues with addon airports (FSDT, Imagine) to include all of Fly Tampa products, until KBUF. I installed and checked all the "eye candy" then noticed pretty severe staggers mainly over the approach end RWY23; so I uninstalled/reinstalled with all eye candy turned off--same. I read the post on the fence shadows so I downloaded and copy/replaced (overwrote existing .bgls)--with little or no change...still staggers right at the critical flare point on the approach end. Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Stuttering over approach lights
Are you using Shockwave/A2A 3D lights add-on? I had that same problem awhile back on my last PC. For some reason the 3D Lights and some runway lights tried to fight for resources.

Re: Stuttering over approach lights
No shockwave lights...in FS9 so far with PMDG 737, Kirk Olson's F-16, Wilco Airbus, Wilco E-Jet V2. I have REX, AS6.5, Ultimate Terrain US, FSGenesis 38m LOD, GE Pro...again, not a problem anywhere but KBUF. Some Imagine products will do a micro quick "hang" about 15nm out but that's well known.
System is fresh/clean run O/O defrag etc once every 2 weeks, register cleaner etc. Average 40-50FPS in FS9. I only use the computer for FS9. I use Vista Ultimate 64bit.
It seems there are some last second texture builds when you are over the approach end of RWY23...just above the overrun. I tried day and night approaches and no difference. What are the texture sizes...1024? I have plenty of horsepower to run so I'm a bit confused. Is it possible to delete the fence completely?
Thanks

Re: Stuttering over approach lights
Give these replacement files a try.
I've adjusted the LOD on the jetways to load further away.
& added alpha to some textures that didn't have any.
Please report back.
