FWIW, I'm onboard for an FS9 version

Even a Sandy Bridge can't handle 100% AI in FSX, and any less than 100% AI isn't good enough for me

I'm not having any noticeable fps issues with this release, but I haven't tried the previous one, so I'm not sure what the problems were to begin with. As always in FS though, your mileage will vary.

Seriously now, a very good quality VTBS has been released just a month ago.

That older version was cancelled. I was disheartened by FSX's many problems upon release. This version is only 5 months old. I didn't re-use much from the fs9 version. Oh I assumed as much :) Wouldn't have made much sense to have kept a 5 or 6 year old version in mothballs and pick up on it now, es...

If you don't mind me asking, why are you sticking with fs9 so long? CPUs are fast enough to run FSX (today) better than they could FS9 (pre-FSX). I'm not knocking FS9, just curious. AI. I'm sure FSX users will be happy with this one and they should be, but I also wanted to express my gratitude for your continued support of FS9. Definitely worth it if for no other reason than to thank George for:

1) Boston v1 and v2, which were (and still are) freely available and have been so for years.
2) Continued FS9 support.

But yes - v3 is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor, for all the other reasons listed above.
