Poor frame rates

Post by torontorob » Fri Jun 22, 2018 7:44 am

Hi,

The Toronto scenery is spectacular, but I am getting very poor frame rates. I average
around 11-12 FPS, which creates lots of stuttering. Any suggestions, or
setting adjustments I can make to keep the look, but get better performance?
By comparison, for FlyTampa Montreal I am getting 20-22FPS.

I would like to get this issue resolved, before purchasing the new Boston
scenery.

Thanks for your help.

Those are very poor results. I have a similar system with a 1070 card & can hit 100 FPS around Montreal.
Toronto is a lot harder due to location.

I think you might need to look into your P3D settings.
Too many shadows options enabled?
Water reflections on?
dynamic reflections on?

Can you list some recommendations of your P3DV4.2 settings that gets you close to 100FPS? Which are the major frame rate killers that I should pay close attention to? I would be happy with 30FPS, as long as it is smooth with no stuttering. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my concern.

I have bought Intel I9-9900K yesterday. I have FPS 22...... No comment.
It's a 9900 - there is nothing better. It's a poorly made scenery FPS and optimization wise
