Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Maybe an option to turn PBR off? Really struggling on an 8GB card.

If you 'disable' PBR your are more or less back to EHAM v1. This is not an option in my opinion.
I lowered VRAM usage and raised performance by downsizing the metallic- and normalmaps from EHAM v2. Maybe FlyTampa should consider to provide a light texturepack option for EHAM V2. Just like they did for other products in the past. I guess that would help a lot of users like me that currently stuck with pretty old hardware because of ridiculous high graphics card prices.

Hopefully something can be done about it, with my NVIDIA 2070 I am out of memory within less than a minute.

Same problem here with an 8 GB GPU. I've disabled most options in the FT configurator but vRAM load remains very high. Hope something can be done about it.

Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Try to reduce to 2048*2048 in P3D, it still looks good , in HD at least. I'm running EHAM `V2 with FSLabs and AS and get 4.7 GB out of 7.1GB VRAM. That's not more than other big airport sceneries
On a 4k Monitor with 4096*4096 it is quite obvious an 8GB GPU would struggle, not only at EHAM ?

Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Thanks Mike, already at 2048, with Orbx TE Netherlands, ActiveSky and P3D 5.2 with EA.
Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
I uninstalled True earth Netherlands and that saved 1,5 GB on the VRAM, also with a 8 GB card. Now no problem with all kind of weather, also at night.
Edit typo: 2,5 to 1,5.

Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
So I'm not using TE NL and I'm at 2048 x 2048. In the FT configurator I've disabled the cars, transparent glass and 3D grass. My general settings aren't extremely high either:
Still, with the FSLabs, AS and GSX my vRAM usage goes over 6 GB. Just switching from cockpit view to external can cause a vRAM overload.
For comparison I checked the vRAM load at Copenhagen v2, where I'm using higher settings in the FT configurator. There the vRAM usage won't go over 5 GB no matter what I try.

Setup following screenshots below :-) and gain VRAM plus FPS ;-)

Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Many thanks for your excellent suggestions regarding ORBX TE Netherlands. That indeed lowers the VRAM usage to about 5.1 or so, and a lot more manageable.
Re: Can anything be done to reduce VRAM usage?
Thanks a lot Awf1 for your settings.
Unfortunately these make very small effect on my system.
I found that reducing Level of detail radius under Terrain setting from Ultra to High (some users even set it to Medium) bring it to sweet spot for me.

Hoe did you do this? I want to try this out to reduce my vram problem on eham
