im no doctor but i am almost wondering if the effects of knowing what is coming out as far as airports really is not the best method of business..yes it gets everyone to stay close so to speak but i feel that here as well, and we dont have a clue as to whats up. knowing whats in the works maybe builds our expectations up too much to the point that no matter how it looks we are disappointed (doesnt have this, missing that, too much of this..etc). Probably as mind twisting as it is better to fly the ship like they do here 8)

He doesn't even believe he can compete with freeware:
Well, sadly for us at least, it looks as though both KPHL and KSTL have imminent freeware releases about to be finished which means we will have to withdraw from both projects.
(Which releases are he talking about?)

Not to mention the fact that KIAD has a decent payware already out that wasn't released long ago. Quite puzzling in my opinion.

Well, I can only speculate as to which ones hes specifically referring to; but I'm doing STL and Shez Ansari is doing PHL.

Blueprint.

FlySanJose: How does he find out about the sceneries being made. Do you guys let each other know what you're doing?

Well, I believe Cal can still easily compete with Blueprint, but there's no need for us to have that discussion again.

The point isn't whether or not he can compete (obviously he can), but the fact that he isn't doing airports because of a freeware release but doesn't care about other payware releases.

Isn't that quite obvious? You don't go head to head with freeware projects designed by people who make high quality stuff (have you seen Shez's Hobby? It's quite the work of art, which easily matches, if not outclasses Cal's developments). Blueprint on the other hand is...well, it is what it is, and since there are no freeware KIADs in development and KIAD is a fairly in-demand airport, that makes it a natural choice.

Why be the third payware company to do IAD when you can go 50 miles northeast and be the first to do BWI?

Better choice to me. I'm actually going to suggest it. I don't think anything will come of it but hey, it's worth a shot.

Mac, you do realize that they covered LGA which Shez did do. Obviously Shez's was a little old but they still covered it.
