So I downloaded the installer and DAT file from my laptop to a thumbdrive to install on my desktop, I dont have the EXE in a folder i just have all of my FT sceneries EXE files and the DAT file on that thumdrive by themselves. Thanks for your help, I am running the install from a thumbdrive on a fresh install. Do I put the DAT file in the the folder that contains the install setup? I dont quite get what to do, I think I am making it harder than it is. Could you try one more time for someone with little computer experience...

So it goes into the folder from the File1 after download? Not exactly sure what you mean, sorry.
