Shark?

I've noticed a few people comment on the shark in this scenery and was wondering why so many want to remove it. Does it impact on fps negatively or affect the scenery somehow? Why get rid of it?

The Shark has a negligible effect on performance. Some people just want to strip down to maximise performance. Can't blame them. Landing some of these complex planes is no fun at 10fps.
