FlyTampa crashes FS9

Post by gunsontheroof » Tue May 24, 2005 7:35 pm

I just downloaded FlyTampa and I can't seem to get it working...It installed without any problems, I added the directory to my scenery library, checked to make sure I had v1.2 and erased all my old AFCAD files, but FS9 is crashing every time I try to start a flight from KTPA. If I start from MacDill or one of the other nearby airports and fly to KTPA, everything appears to be fine and functioning normally (although I don't see the moving trams/vehicles that were in the demo, I didn't uncheck them at install)...What gives?

Not sure about the crashing, try from mcdill again, go to TPA and see if the scenery complexity slider at max level gets you the trams. Than check for the crashing again, I'll meditate over it in the meantime :)

Meditation complete: Since you mention you had the Demo installed I assume that didn't crash? In this case it must be some installation/file issue since there is nothing different with the demo other than those boxes compiled into some bgls. Technically nothing differs that could explain the crash.

Reinstall seems to have fixed it. After my initial post I remembered that my scenery levels were at normal since I've been flying around MegaScenery NW a lot as of late. Returning the slider to dense gave me the trams. Thanks Martin!
