I'm using CYUL in L.M. Prepar3D.
I'm having a problem when landing aircraft. When the main wheels touchdown, the aircraft is being catapulted about 100' back into the air. It has happened with multiple different aircraft. It has occurred on runways 24L and 24R. It hasn't occurred at other airports, so it is something unique to CYUL. I have MyTraffic 3D, but I have already disabled it's CYUL AFCAD, the launching on landings still occur. I've touched down with vertical rates less than 20' per minute and upon contact with the surface I'm getting shot up at over 1,000' per minute, very strange. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Thad
Big Bounce Landing at CYUL
Re: Big Bounce Landing at CYUL
I need to correct my statement, the issue is happening at other airports around the Montreal area as well. It seems to happen when departing within the area, and then landing within the area. The first touchdown launches back up into the air but any landings after that are normal without issue. I don't believe the problem is related to CYUL, it was just coincidence that it was the only airport I was doing circuits at. The other area airports, I was coming in from distant points of origin. I conducted a flight from CYUL to Mirabel and sure enough it catapulted on the first contact with the runway then landed fine on all further landings after that.

Double check the duplicate afcad are disabled & there isn't another Montreal scenery still running.
I've not heard of this issue before. try googling "fsx boucing landing". Maybe something in the search results rings a bell.
does it effect even the default aircraft?
