Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
Thanks to Aerosoft we have Airbus's manufacturing base georgously rendered in FS9/FSX but a detailed Paine Field Washington is no where to be found. It would be nice if some developer balanced the scale (a slight hint to Fly Tampa as I know you guys would nail this on)...
Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
Orbx Pacific Northwest spruces up KPAE quite a bit - not to full addon quality - but better than default for sure.
Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
As an FS9 user this version I'm sure will not work in my setup.mug_c wrote:Orbx Pacific Northwest spruces up KPAE quite a bit - not to full addon quality - but better than default for sure.
Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
Why not KPAE worse I noticed that some particular stage designer for FS2004 is dropping scenery for FS2004. thank you
Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
Point taken - a full blown KPAE would be great for both FSX and FS9 users!!!!Dillon wrote:As an FS9 user this version I'm sure will not work in my setup.mug_c wrote:Orbx Pacific Northwest spruces up KPAE quite a bit - not to full addon quality - but better than default for sure.

Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
With all do respect, this is a horrible idea.
There are no commercial flights into and out of KPAE; the only thing you'd be able to do is fly general aviation, which, in my view, isn't a reason for a high-end scenery maker to consume time and resources.

Ummm... Orbx seems to be doing quite well with their focus on GA airports ....RhapsodyInBlue wrote:.......the only thing you'd be able to do is fly general aviation, which, in my view, isn't a reason for a high-end scenery maker to consume time and resources.
Anyway ... We all have our opinions ... if a dev decides to do a KPAE, I would probably spend my $ on it.
Cheers.
Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
I agree mug_c.
Orbx's sole focus is on small GA airports. I doubt they create products that bleed them money.
As for KPAE, I think it would be a wonderful airport. Although there are little or few scheduled flights out of the airport, it would be great for all those addon Boeing aircraft that usually include a pre-saved cold and dark state for delivery out of the field. I would much rather take delivery of my new Boeing products from KPAE, rather than a random airport. I don't do it now because the current offering either Orbx or default provide does not capture the airport to inspire the moment.
Cheers,
Thad

Re: Boeing's Manufacturing headquarters...
I say do PAE for fs9 and fsx because even though no commericial flights with passengers fly out of there Boeing's factory for the 767 747 787 and 777 is right there and there are multiple flights a day of all there planes including the 737 flying out of there plus some F-18's fly through, a MIG-29 from the restoration center. If you don't believe me then know this, I work down the street from there gone plane spotting there I have taken a VIP tour of the whole Boeing factory top to bottom on end to the other and I live 10 miles south and see tons of planes flying by from this airfield, Boeing has parking all across the airfield for the 787's. I would buy it in a heart beat if you guys made scenery for this airfield.
