MUXP PATCH NOT WORKING (ORTHO NOT WORKING - MESH)

Post by VTCH » Mon Jan 29, 2024 2:42 pm

I get an error in my MUXP log file.

"muxp-ERROR: DSF Source Package C:\Users\xxblu\Documents\X-Plane 12\Custom Scenery\zOrtho4XP_+52+004 given in config file does not exist. It is ignored!"

I made several attempts and it never works! Very frustrating... I've tried to get Ortho to work on this scenery since FlyTampa Amsterdam for XP released ...

Why make it so comlicated?

Unfortunately for me the only way to use Ortho with FlyTampa Amsterdam in X-Plane 12 right now is to disable the MESH. But with the MESH disabled, I will get jetways in the ground and the bridges are not bridges anymore but flat surfaces.

Hi, ortho4xp or any other mesh will not work with AMS as it has its own. Have you try our conversion tool? https://www.flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13646

Hello, how did you applied that conversion tool? It's not supported for +52+004(the EHAM tile) I think.
Please, Let me know how did you use the conversion tool. :)

You will have to install python and then run the python file in the desired ortho4xp tile (EHAM +52+004)

But I can't fully remember what happened after

So I just used it again, you have to place the whole conversion tool folder into the tile (EHAM +52+004) and then run the .py file. When it says "it looks like you are trying to convert a non flytampa tile" or something like that, just press enter. Then delete or move the Ortho4XP Tile out of the custom scenery, as a new "Photopolys4FlyTampa..." has been created in the custom scenery.

Make sure you place the newly created Photopolys above the mesh in the custom scenery text editor ini file
