Was just reading KTPA's master plan which could be done in 2025.....but its cool to see what they are adding. A new runway 17-35, extending rwy 27 and 18L, wider taxiways, relocation of Airside E, baggage claim improvements which they really need and more you can read here: http://www.tampaairport.com/airport_bus ... ume_II.pdf

i live in tampa and i go through the airport a little more than 5 times a year and after reading that i dont understand the point of adding a new runway. i mean i have never had a problem in tampa airport accept for the parking which i am glad they are improving but i dont work at the airport or anything so i cant say they are doing anything wrong with the new runway. i do recall maybe a year ago that they were working on one of the runways but i dont know if it is the new one??? but in conclusion tampa airport is probably my favorite.

Yeh i live in Tampa also and love the airport as it is....and to me i think Tampa is one of the best, cleanest, and fastest in terms of security.....i think they should leave it as is.
