La Guardia to be released this coming weekend
According to www.imaginesim.com , the release is this weekend.
If someone will get the scenery, please let us know of the performance. I'm really curious how they've done.

They got the tower wrong and the marine air terminal (Delta Shuttle) wrong.
The tower has a smooth surface: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1141063/M/
and not like this:

As they are releasing it this weekend I doubt any email at this point would make them correct it. Furthermore, anyone not too familiar with the airport won't notice the stuff they got wrong. Anyone who frequents the airport however may be annoyed by that tower, as well as the marine air terminal.Jacek wrote:Dre, you should send them an e-mail with both links.
Also, I'm super curious what the performance is like since this airport is in the middle of the performance hell hole.

Usually, you can download their sceneries and just try it out as a demo.Jacek wrote:According to www.imaginesim.com , the release is this weekend.

If you have Aerosoft Manhattan, I don't care how good imaginesim's frames are, it will still be though unless you have a decent system._Dre_ wrote:Cool, I'll be keeping my freeware version unless imaginesim's is significantly better on frames and they fix the tower.Jacek wrote:So I've got the reply and was told that the tower issue will be looked into today.

Hi,
I agree with Specialist as I have Aerosoft Manhattan and Imagine Newark and the FPS take a hard hit even with a high end system so being so close with KLGA it will be interesting...I will still purchase the scenery as they always make good with updates if people see things that are not correct as pointed out in this thread.
But nevertheless, Imagine makes decent sceneries, one of their best in my mind is KDEN!

David

Aha!!!!, nice. I'll still be keeping my freeware though. Now if imaginesim teams up with AES then I'll be getting their scenery.
To specialist: I don't have Aerosoft Manhattan because I'm very carefull with what I add to the NYC area. I get great Frames at JFK, flyable frames(barely) at LGA, and average frames at EWR (Steve Whalin's freeware), all with Traffic 2005 at 95%. I like the Aerosoft scenery but I can't afford to kill the FPS in NY anymore than I already have because that's where I do most of my flying into or out of. My system is a P4 3.4 GHz machine so I don't understand why the dual core guys are having so much trouble. Then again, I haven't flown into NY with a FPS muncher like PMDG 747 either.
