program crashes on MSFS

Hello,
I have received and installed Copenhagen airport yesterday evening from the market place on MSFS and I am dismayed that the program will crash every time a few seconds after I had already started in Copenhagen or flew in the air near of the airport. This situation goes on only while using your Copenhagen-airport-scenario.

First, I updated my graphic card and opimize all settings - no change happened.
Second, I deleted the program from the content manager, to reinstall it immediately. After deleting the program, I was not able to download the program from the marketplace any more.
Why? - what happened? - please, I should like clarification from you on this point. Will there be an update of the program soon?

hi Jens. Regarding the crash issue, could you please explain a bit more what you mean by this? Did you mean that MSFS crashes and shuts down, every time you are at, or near, Copenhagen? any error messages?

If that is the case, could you also post your PC specs here please?

Regarding the marketplace issue, after you removed the content from the manager, did you not see a link on Copenhagen product page, to re-download and install? Issues with marketplace need to be reported to Microsoft support, who I am sure will help you out in case the re-download link does not work.

you are right - the MSFS crashes every time I am in the near of the Copenhagen/OEresund-area. It also crasches after I am starting from Kastrup, when I exactly reach the border of the aiport-area shown as fotograph on the VRF-map! I have tried it more than 10 times and it happened every time. It doesn't matter if I flew e.g. from the south (Hamburg/Germany) or the east (Malmö/Sweden) to the kastrup airport or in the near of the Copenhagen area.

Meanwhile I downloaded the program twice times. At first, no program version (1.0.0) without the GB-size was shown at the content manager. At the second time, I think, it is correct installed with showing der version number and the size of the program itself. After all, no change of the situation.

My pc-specs are: X590 aorus master - AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core - 64GB G.skill F4-3200C16 DDR4-RAM - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER.
I hope that will be enough for the MSFS and your visually really excellent implemented airport ;-)

i am having exactly the same issue. When i load EKCH ( Flytampa) directly MSFS crashes. Same with a route when i am approaching the airport.
Also i have to mention that i never had any issue before, that started with new MSFS update. This issue remind me the CGL bug crash issue that was appeared on many payware airports but was fixed on latest update.

Hi,

Seems like I experience MSFS crashing when near or starting in EKCH. No errors at all, just exit to desktop. Any workouts yet ? I miss my homebase :)

I have heard a couple of reports after the new MSFS update. Could you try deleting the content.xml located in Local Packages, and restart the sim?

just found this fix on MSFS forum and worked 100%

It appears MSFS has issue with EKCH and KLAS containing the same folder name. The following change to KLAS fixed my CTD at EKCH.

Rename the subfolder FlyTampaMatLib to something like KLASMatLib
\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\flytampa-lasvegas-airport\MaterialLibs\FlyTampaMatLib

Update layout.json file for KLAS by replacing ‘FlyTampaMatLib’ with the new folder name (e.g. KLASMatLib). There are 4 rows that need to be updated.


As i had both airports when i renamed KLAS folder and updated layout.json , EKCH worked with out any issues. I tried deleting content.xml which worked in the beginning, but later EKCH crashed again.
if this fix works, means that Flytampa needs to update KLAS folders

I haven't suffered crashes, but thought I'd check that location, and my .... \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore .... is completely empty. The only .... flytampa-lasvegas-airport .... entry I have is in the .... Community .... folder. I have MSFS installed on to a separate drive, not my C Drive, maybe that is why some people are having issues.

I am having the same issues, sceneries both puchased via the Marketplace. Contents are on a seperate drive; both in the Official\OneStore folder.

Looks like an issue with the Marketplace version, as I purchased mine directly with FlyTampa. I always try and get them directly from the developers because you generally get the updates sooner.

With World Update 4 - My EKCH crashes when entering it.
