Well, after months of having to sit back and just watch other people enjoy their scenery... I went out and bought my first set of payware. Bought San Diego and Midway... I must say, this is impressive work! I've tested out other sceneries on other computers... (payware) but I've never seen such a "user friendly/Computer friendly" set of software. 10 out of 10 and a thanks for making my first experience with payware enjoyable. Only problem I've seen is a bump on one of the runways at midway... other then that, beautiful and I hope you guys create some more projects!

Regards,
Chase

Very glad to hear you enjoy the scenery :)

The bump you are experiencing at Midway is likely the bump which so far we couldn't fix and classified as "known bug". you can read about it in the PDF manual or here:

All we know is that this bump is also present without Fly-Midway and must be the fault of a default FS file.

Many of the bumps reported has more to do with the type of plane you are flying rather than a problem with the sceneries. Same thing at Seattle, yet it only happens to me with certain model aircraft and not all.

I am quite sure the Seattle bump is something different.

The Midway bump is a very specific series of 3 bumps always at the exact same location. They also only happen when "driving" over from one direction, not the other and they are noticable with all planes incl default Cessnas.

We used realtime file monitoring to track it down and the exact moment the bump happens FS is reading/loading data from /Scenery/NamC/scenery/ AP924170.bgl. Deleting this file smoothens out bump, but the file contains many other important FS data so deleting it is not an option for users.

I'm quite sure the FS engine is rebuilding data when reading from that file and for some reason a slight elevation change occurs. This is similar to how mesh gets rebuild when getting closer to the viewpoint.

I have noticed that the bump is "felt more" when using a freeware aircraft, as opposed to a payware such as PMDG. Either way, great work! I also purchased the San Diego and it's a blast too! This is the type of payware I expect. Not to mention, compared to other forums (We wont name any names here :? ) your "attitude" and replies are more friendly and responsive. Any new projects that you all are working on?

Have you tried removing the KMDW entry from the AP******.bgl file and seeing if that solves it? Just a thought. Don't know if it can be made a commercial solution as it would involve decompiling the MS bgl and editing it- then recompiling. But if it's a free patch then maybe it is ok??

Believe me I have looked at the code... well at least a few of the 4.500.851 lines (decompiled xml). Removed chuncks of data that were obviously tied to KMDW. Didn't solve the issue.
