Just being nosy, but I see your username is flysiu, so I figured you're in Carbondale. Do you fly out of Marion to STL and then on to Chicago?

Beats Amtrak, and in a few weeks Mesa (ick) is starting MWA-DEC-MDW. Even better...

Dan requesting airports!!! The end of the universe must be near
Requesting, me...? Surely you jest. (I hate you.)LOL!!! That wasn't a request, just me thinking out loud. (*stumbling over my tongue.) Seriously though, I was just saying that it's kind of odd that no one, freeware or payware has done anything of significance with KPIT. If I was going to do an actual request it wouldn't be KPIT(I have a couple airports that I drool over.)

Thanks for bringing me back to noobdom.

No kidding? I hadn't heard Mesa was going to start that service. Glad to see southern Illinois getting a little more air service. Wish we had some commercial service closer to where I live.
Oh, and you're right...it HAS to beat Amtrak.

I was in Marion last week for a few days and drove by the airport each day on the way to John A. Logan for training. Caught a glimpse of the Mesa aircraft a couple times while I was there, but didn't have time to try to get a little closer.

They're Air Midwest, painted in US Airways Express titles, although I don't think they code share with anyone.

Hopefully one of these days there will be FP's for these flights!

I'm glad you folks here at Fly Tampa want to continue to focus on FS9, as i dont really have too much to say about FSX

However when people here talk about the next scenery and/or requests i might make my own request which i know will never happen anyway, but is more or less like a dream.. That would have to be a Flytampa Style Kai tak airport, but as this airport no longer exists, i believe that it's no use in even hoping it will be made.

Anyway keep up the good work folks. i know i'll be sticking with FS9 for quite a while :)

This is not to say I am or will work on Kai Tak, but the fact that the airport doesn't exist anymore is certainly not an issue for me.

I'd think that there is more than enough photo and video record of the airport to support a scenery project. :P
Hell, I'd buy it.

Another airport that has been left out of the FS world is Keflavik airport on Iceland (BIKF), it's just a suggestion :)

Have yet to find a good scenery of tthat airport

I totally agree, we need FlyTampa to make Keflavik airport. It should´nt be so big project, this is rather a small airport. Hope George, that you will consider this. Beside, Iceland is very beatiful country with lot of lawa and volcanos. http://eu.airliners.net/photos/photos/8/7/0/0870078.jpg

Well, there you have it from the source. It's not out of the question.

anyway, BIKF was and still is an important airport for trans atlantic flights and it deserves a good workout, at least my opinion, and as tors wrote: it's not a very big airport either :)
