Those weren't requests. I've got sceneries for two of those airports already (one by George) and YVR is being done by Vauchez.

I can't wait till Vauchez releases the KPDX and CYVR.. man.. imagine if Vauchez teamed up with FlyTampa.. they would create some crazy ultra realistic scenery that would give me seizures. Kinda like if LDS teamed up with CS on the 757.

But anyway, sorry for going off topic, I really believe these request posts are pointless. George and Martin have pointed out many times that their choices are based on the resources available for the airport. Give them a high quality aerial, 500 photos, and all the needed info for the airport, and there is a good chance they will follow up on your request. If not, keep your suggestion to yourself.

I registered just so I could say this to all you whiners...I mean "real" members.

I care for your opinions about as much as you seem to care for potential customers' suggestions. Which is to say, not at all.

You have no business trying to intimidate other users, regardless of his or her experience posting on this forum. The FlyTampa staff can ignore all the suggestions they want...and if it bothers you so much, you should as well.

But I'll tell you one thing, if this is the kind of behavior that FlyTampa lets happen on their forums, you can bet I'll never buy another scenery from them.

Somebody owes somebody else an apology.

Nick

P.S. - I request Dayton International Airport. :P

This "behavior" as you call it is called freedom of speech pal. Welcome to America!! So if you decide to never buy another FlyTampa based on a few forum posts then you are only cheating yourself. Of course I believe that to be a BS threat anyway. As for someone owing someone else an apology, get real. It's not like he was insulting the other guys mother. Stop being so sensitive.

If you have a request?

Post by skydvdan » Thu Mar 09, 2006 11:49 am

I've got an idea that should help both sides. If people insist on posting requests for airports then preceed your post subject with the words "Scenery Request: airport here". One of my biggest issues with the requests is when some of you disguise the request as something else like needing help or a compliment to George or Martin. I love reading kudos and congratulations but I hate getting halfway through one just to see it morph into a scenery request. Case in point"Possibility"(this thread.) If you make it clear right from the start that it's a request then I can bypass that post all together. If I read it I can't complain because I knew what it was when I opened it. Or maybe George and Martin can make a separate forum just for those of you that feel the need to make requests. What do you think? :D

I'm all for the separate request forum. 8)
Will make it much easier to sort out worthwhile posts.

I'll stop being sensitive when you and other "real members" stop being jerks to others. Ball's in your court, fella.

Ahh i think this freedom of speech works both ways to be fair.

For somebody who does not like these threads your fairly chalking up the posts.

By the way Welcome to Ireland just to return the greeting. :D

Oh man, I can't believe I missed this comment the first time around. You are kidding right? Please tell me you are not serious...

Let me get this straight...people are not allowed to post "BS requests" in this forum because it upsets you and the other "real members". So, you want to deny someone else's right to free speech, while at the same time claiming free speech as justification for your comments? lol...

Just so you know, someone who professes beliefs and opinions that he does not hold is called a hypocrite.

For both Ardman and bluestreak. I never said to stop making requests so direct your bitching elsewhere. I even came up with a compromise. Am I kidding? No I'm not. The same as some of the people here make pointless requests have that freedom, so do the people that can't stand them. The door swings both ways, that's how we live life in America. Scroll back through and show me in this post where I told people to stop making requests. I am simply tired of being duped into reading them, the same as alot of the "real members". I think when the "real members" term was brought up by someone else what he meant was "regulars" to the site.

As for this, I'm not being a jerk. Maybe some of you should heed some of the hints that some of the regulars are throwing out. So, nothing but negative to suggest? No comments on my suggestion in the other post? Seems to me the only reason that you registered was because your feelings were being hurt. Why don't you try contributing something positive to the debate instead of just whining and name-calling. I defer back to my previous post:

Yeah,

Save for the tongue-in-cheek request I made in my original post, I've never made a request, asked for help, or commented on any subject in this forum, so my feelings have hardly been hurt...

Rather, I like to stand up for people who are uneccessarily abused simply because they decided to share their thoughts with the developers. I like to point out hypocrisy when I see it, and finally, I like to see people get defensive when they get called out for being for a jerk.

Have now worries, friend. I won't be posting here anymore. I've said my piece. You can go back to your regularly scheduled bitching and belittling now.

Thank you. In other words you have nothing positive or constructive to contribute. So you registered so that you could throw in your little attacks and run under the guise of defending people that are perfectly capable of defending themselves. Also good job at avoiding my previous questions. Again, thank you and goodbye.
