Glideslope displaced - V2 inP3DV4
Glideslope displaced - V2 inP3DV4
Hi Emilio, thanks for this great update and specially for P3Dv4 support !! Amazing work as always !!
I noticed that the glideslopes are a bit displaced , at least on 18C and 27 (havent tried the others yet) , they will bring you in too low. This problem actually is not new to V2, it came with the update to V1.3, so I used to use the older afcads and no problem. But I am not sure if this will still be possible with V2?
Or could you possibly revise the locations / angles of the glideslopes ? , that would be great!
Another minor glitch I saw is the center lights on the 36L/18R, which are a bit displaced as well, same on the taxiway next to the runway
thanks again and best regards

Thank you for publishing AMS v2! Can't wait also to see how it looks in MSFS too.
Also please check the displaced lights on taxiway D and B next to rnwy 18C, taxiway V next to 18R. Haven't taxied on the rest of the taxiways yet :)
Best,
ivan

Re: Glideslope displaced - V2 inP3DV4
In real life, the TWY and RWY center lights are often purposely placed slightly off center. This is to avoid the nose gears taxing over the lights when following the TWY line. All these movements cause wear, tear & damage to the lighting installations in the tarmac/concrete. So an easy solution to avoid outage and unnecessary maintenance is to place them slightly off center on purpose. This is especially the case at TWY's or RWY's with excessive use & high intensity traffic.

Oh ok, didn’t know that, but it makes complete sense. Thanks for clarifying.
Re: Glideslope displaced - V2 inP3DV4
I have V2.1 installed now, but the reported issues with the glideslope etc. seem not to be adressed with that update, at least not in P3DV4.5.
Are they supposed to be adressed with V2.1 Did I miss any updated AFCAD for V4.5 maybe ? Thanks !
This is where the 50ft call comes on an autoland on RW27 , for example

I saw that AFCAD for 4.5 was now updated as well, but glideslope issue is not solved by that
