MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
Hi
Was just flying out of YSSY when I came across the attached issue with a raised part of the taxiway on taxiway B/C. Just wondering if its something possibly to do with my system or whether there's some updates required to support SU5?
Thanks

Re: MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
That's part of the asobo scenery. you have to remove their yssy in the content manager.
Re: MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
Thanks - will give that a go. I don't remember doing it last time I installed but I've had to reinstall MSFS2020 again so perhaps I did do something last time and its reverted like my memory :D

Hi George,
Hope you're well, any ideas on this one? Skewed Textures appear on all the runways. (All Sydney Asobo stuff disabled/deleted. No Rex or Zinertek installed.)

Re: MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
Hey Kurt,
Latest update?
I think there's a problem with duplicate filenames between sceneries that has been introduced in the new build.
So you have another scenery, from another developer, that has the same runway marking texture filename.
Im not sure if its a bug or a new intentional way. From now on we will use unique naming to be on the safeside.
If it turns out to be intentional, I'll have to issue a update to SYD. It takes a long time to submit patches to MS tho.

Re: MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
Thanks George,
OK makes sense.
Yeah this is Sim update 5 - where can I start looking, and I'll search my other addon's for a similar file name to try and isolate it.
UPDATE 1 : Confirmed offending filename is "RUNWAY_MARKINGS.PNG.DDS", found in a 3rd party scenery. Since removed offending file from Community, YSSY back to normal, yay. Hmm, I do see how that could be an issue moving forward as you suggest though.
UPDATE 2 : Noticed a new Gum Tree growing by Alfa 4 taxiway - didn't notice that before Sim update 5. (Can confirm it appears in other user's sim too - see attached)

Re: MSFS2020 SimUpdate 5 issue?
Tree is new for SU5.
I've cut it down and will be in next update.
