Static Aircraft

Hi,

Let me start by saying that I absolutely love VHHX. I hope you guys keep updating it for the new simulators as they are released.

I have a question regarding the static aircraft. I often fly online and don't really want the whole airport populated by so many aircraft as, sometimes, there is live traffic using the airport at the same time. The obvious answer is to disable airline static aircraft but then the airport becomes a graveyard and looks at it must have look the week after the airport was officially shut down. I have traced the static airliners to two files named: "VHHX_ADEP4_FLYTAMPA.BGL" and "kt_ac_static.BGL" which provide the parking spaces and static aircraft respectively. My question is: Is there an alternative for these two files that provide alternative number of static aircraft, say, 50% and 25%?.

I would love to get my hands on these modification alas, I am no programmer and do not know how to modify these files to achieve what I am looking for. Are you able to help me?.

It maybe possible to hide some of them if you look into the FlyTampa/KaiTak/texture folder, and remove some of the 747_0X.dds and _lm.dds textures. Not 100% this will completely work. May also need to remove ft_ac_shadows.dds

Good idea but didn't work, turning off those textures creates "blank" (in fact, they are black) aircraft shapes with the same number of static aircraft. I feel that solution is changing the number of aircraft to load in the static aircraft BGL. Help, please.

I can't recompile vhhx files right now, its not in my work-pipeline.

Try the attached files, it has dummy transparent textures that replace the 747_01.dds. If you want other aircraft gone, just copy these textures and rename them 747_02. Not tested myself, but might work.

It didn't work, the aircraft texture now appear as red... Is there something else I should have done?.
