Las Vegas running out of memory

Post by mbell » Thu May 14, 2020 8:25 pm

I have tried to cut back the features, but still go to 6.1 out of available 6.7 vram. Not able to enjoy this great scenery in P3D v5 Hot fix 1.

Same issue here. Any solutions? Did you find a way to fix it?

Thanks!

Flytampa textures are swamping VRAM. I have been complaining about this since v5 came out but it has gone on deaf ears.

Nothing wrong with the textures. If there is memory issues, they are probably related to v5 (at least until they update it), or the multiple add-ons running, or low memory GPU.
On an old 980ti and have never run into any issues. Also bear in mind this is a 12-month old product, tested on even more outdated hardware on even earlier versions of P3D, never had issues reported.

Cutting back down on configurator wont make much difference as these changes are more related to frame rates. More likely you will need to tune down P3D settings if they are too heavy for your system.

Out of curiosity, what Max Texture Resolution setting are you able to set with a 980Ti. I cannot go above 1024 without running into VRAM issues and CTD. 2048 is ideal, but impossible, even with medium to low autogen settings. I have an RTX2080 with 8GB VRAM.

I use 2048 for most of the time. CTDs and VRAM issues on anything above 1024 resolution is not reasonable, you will need to look into your setup.

No pretty sure its not my setup. Running at 2048 is not possible. With my 2080, my VRAM shoots up 7.5 GB and hangs P3D, I'm not sure how many times I have to repeat myself. The autogen buildings in the scenery need to optimized or a Litex pack released. The only way to use this scenery is 1024, with Medium Autogen settings and PBR buildings off.
