Any change for FlyTampa_Amsterdam V2 for P3dV5? Are there any plans for an update?

Hello,

I have compiled a list of all the major changes since v1.1 2016 and now. Hope it helps.

- Aerial imagery:
They are currently doing aerial photography all across the Netherlands. For the last couple of years, new aerial imagery has become available at the end of April. It would be great if the base image would represent the 2020 state, since a lot has changed the past years, both within the airport boundaries and ouside it.
Aerial photo, Schiphol-Centre, April 2020:

- Aprons: Sierra apron south extension opened:

- Aprons: Uniform apron extension opened:

- Aprons: Mike apron extension 1 opened:

- Aprons: Mike apron extension 2 opened:

- Aprons: Yankee apron reconfigured:

- Aprons: Romeo buffer reconfigured
Holding bays P20 & P21. Also additional taxiway and hold positions P22 & P23.

Image

- Aprons: Alpha apron reconfigured ('Fokker farm'):

Image

- Aprons: K-apron Schiphol East, reconfigured
Image

- Taxiways: A19 changed
Now 3 colored lines.
Image
Image

- Taxiways: De-ice pads RWY 36C reconfigured
Image
Image

- Taxiways: infield taxiway updated
Now closed off and features 3 parking stands and calibration area.
Image

- Terminals: Bus gate building next to G-Pier
Small building was added a few years ago to house extra bus gates.
Image
Image

- Terminals: KLM Crown lounge + Temporary bridge
The KLM Crown lounge with the extra floor and the blue 'house' in the room has been completed. The temporary connector bridge from the terminal to the F pier is expected to be removed this year. Gate F2 will return but when is unknown. For future-proofing, it would be best to remove it from the scenery and reinstate gate F2 (same as the other F-gates with double jetways).
Image

- Terminals: B/A-pier connector (temporary)
A temporary connector is currently under construction between the existing P-pier and the under construction A-pier. Gate B16 next to it and the road under it will remain operational. The connector will remain in place until the new terminal in finished in 2025.
Image
Image

How it will look:
Image

- Terminals: B/C-pier connector (temporary)
Another temporary connector. Gates B13 & C4 will close for a period of 5 years for this (jetways will remain in place, temp barriers will be placed across the apron).
Image
Image
Image

As a result of this, a small building which was attached to the C-pier has been demolished:
Image

- Terminals: new terminal & A-pier
The new situation will look like this: the new A-Pier will open first and will be connected to the old terminal via a temporary connector walkway across the apron (see above). A few years after that, the new terminal will open and will have replaced the existing connector between B/C-pier, the temporary B/C connector and the temporary B/A connector across the apron.

Latest status update from april:
https://www.cepezed.nl/en/news/weidshei ... orm/48075/

Cepezed (https://www.cepezed.nl/nl/) and KAAN architects (https://kaanarchitecten.com/) did the design and 3d modeling, perhaps FlyTampa could buy the models from them to give you a head-start for the scenery.

- Jetways: D47-D57
This set of gates has become multiple use between narrow & widebody's. Therefore, D57 D53 D49 D47 have been upgraded to new double jetways.
Image

- Jetways: D2-D10
These gates are currently undergoing a reconfiguration and jetway upgrade
It looks like D2 will remain a single (new) jetway.
D4 has double (new) jetways for widebody's and so has D10.
Image
Image
Image

- Jetways: E3
Gate E3 has returned to service
Image
Image

- Jetways: E2-E4-E6
The configuration of these gates has changed. E4 is now a narrowbody gate with a single jetway protruding further outwards.
E2 & E6 are for wide body's and have new double jetways.
Image
Image

- Jetways: E20-E24
The overwing jetway at E24 was removed last year and replaced by the new standard double one like the rest.
The overwing jetways at E20 & E24 remain in use for now, but will be retired and replaced, this year or next year. For future-proofing it might be best to have the double jetways here as well.
Image

- Ground traffic: Electric bus, airside
The classic yellow airside busses have all been replaced by new grey electric ones.
Image

- Ground traffic: Electric bus, landside.
The classic red landside busses have all been replaced by new electric ones
Image

- Landside buildings: Parking garage P3
A huge parking garage has been build at P3 in the North.
Image
Image
Image

- Landside buildings: Old Hilton Hotel
It has been demolished a few years ago and replaced by a parking garage, as an extension of P1.
Image
Image

- Landside buildings: P2 garage
The P2 garage has been demolished to make room for the new terminal and it's landside connector roads. This area is currently empty as it has been made 'function free' and is currently waiting for terminal construction to start. The building next to the KLM Catering building has also been demolished. Also, the main landside road along the ground level of the terminal ('Havenmeesterweg') has been removed.
Image
Image

- Landside buildings: KLM Cargo 1
One third of the KLM Freight I building has been demolished in order to make room for the construction of the A-pier. Also, the tower extension of the Freight I building has been demolished The KLM Catering building will remain where it is until 2025.

Guys, drop me an email to move the update photos/info on a different group outside the forums, might be easier. Erik I got yours already.

Hi,

Hope that the update mainly focus is on the "airside" and area's used in major part by pilots, also online on VATSIM/IVAO.

Personally (and lot of other online pilots) prefer a update on the GAT terminal area (Schiphol East, K-apron). Would care less or the Yankee, Uniform, Mike buffer aprons.

Kind regards,

Marcel

Also, Bombardier decal removedfrom H4.
Seems a new "Martinair" logo is still visible at the airside of hanger 4. (Or is this the original, now the Bombardier overlay is removed).

Good point Marcel, thanks.
You are right regarding H4: Bombardier logo removed and replaced by Martinair logo a few years ago.

WOW, someone had done a lot of work. I am sure this will make Emilios' job easier! I am very excited to see an update to EHAM, I use it as my gateway to Europe as I love long haul flights out of the west coast of the US. I'm also hoping it uses SODE.

@emilios[flytampa]:

Hi Emilios,

Does FlyTampa also have plans to make a version for X-plane? I see other "pearls" for X-plane as well.
