P3Dv4 Crasj

I was making my first flight from LIRF to LGAV since moving from FSX to P3Dv4. When I was on final to 3L about 10nm out P3D froze for about 30 seconds and then I got an error message saying it had to shut down. When I installed this scenery in P3d I unzipped the P3Dv4 update into the Athens directory. However, I could not find the ******-papi.bgl files in the Scenery directory to delete them. I haven't updated to P3Dv4.2 yet. MY current version is 4.7.1.22841. I'm not sure if that would matter. I am also using FTX Global Base Pack, Global Vector an openLCEurope. I read in this forum that someone else disabled the Athens LC because of a scenery anomalie in P3Dv4.2 but it wasn't causing a P3D crash. I tried the approach one more time just to make sure and it locked up in the exact same place.

I installed P3Dv4.2 and disabled AthensLC but still got a ctd at the same place on final. Just to make sure it wasn't anything else I disabled Flytampa Athens and landed without any problems. If no one else has any suggestions I guess I will be waiting for the Flytampa overhaul of LGAV before I return to Athens. I almost never land at default airports. Guess I'm spoiled but not having the realism just takes away too much of the enjoyment.

Not willing to admit defeat yet I uninstalled Flytampa Athens and reinstalled it. When I checked the installation it installed in the following folders:
P:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Athens\Athens
\Doc \Scenery
\Scenery \Texture
\Texture
I think before I deleted the second Athens directory and merged those Scenery and Texture folders with the \FlyTampa-Athens Scenery and Texture folders. I couldn't find any explanation for this file structure but maybe thats where I messed up. Does the second Athens\Scenery and Texture folder require another entry in the Scenery Library? Guess I'll try that and see what happens.

Looks like something isn't right there. Carefully remove it all & start again.

Did you try the file in my download here? It fixed CTDs on P3D4.

I tried the Ath_Lights_NoTick.zip George but it didn't change anything. Maybe I'll start over again tomorrow.

When I run FlyTampa_Athens_FSX_11.exe I direct it to P:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ and it installs it into P:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Addon Scenery\FlyTampa-Athens\. I run P3D and set the airport to LGAV and of course P3D crashes before the airport can load. The patch however has the scenery and texture folders in the Athens\ directory so I don't know if I need a separate Athens/Scenery & Texture folder or if i just need to copy the Scenery & Texture folders to my FlyTampa-Athens folder and over write those files. I have actually tried it both ways and neither worked. Also I couldn't find the 4 ******-papi.bgl files that need deleting in any of the scenery folders either before or after updating.

I tried one more time. Un-installed and reinstalled, installed the patch. Ran P3Dv4. Seclected gate A30. The load screen appeared with a box but no progress bar. A few seconds later I got a CTD. Still haven't found those ****_papi.bgl files.

Again, just like Sydney, getting repeated ntdll.dll CTDs in the latest P3Dv using the PMDG 747-400 very latest version.

I am sick and tired of this, FlyTampa.

Until there is a concrete P3Dv4 Installer for these FT airports, I am uninstalling this utter claptrap!

So dismayed despite posting this CTD also for Sydney, nobody from FT can provide an answer.

I'm getting consistent CTDs out of KTPA as well, flying North, abeam the powerplant. When I remove KTPA it doesn't happen. How to solve this? The links above don't work, none of them!
