I also wanted to ask why there is no mor FTX blending option in Vienna for P3Dv4. doesnt look that good without it. maybe there is an option and i am just to dumb to find it. thx for helping in andvance.

For V2.8 I used a newer higher resolution surrounding Photo and I didn't want to increase the size further by having 2 versions of it. You can try if you like it better with the surrounding disabled by renaming Vienna/scenery/kmdw_photo.bgl to .OFF

Well all that does is giving me a scenery. DAT error.
in the pictures below i will show you my problem with this new thing
at daytime its actually not that bad- still not as nice as the old blending option but it doesnt disturb that much. at night though thats a whole different story. it almost seems like the textures turn black and white which in my opinion destroys the whole scenery which i also have to point out is OUTSTANDING since the uptdate. it is just awesome despite the surrounding textures. hope there is another way to fix it.
and yes I cycled through all the months in the configurator. no change...

again, removing this: Vienna/scenery/loww_photo.bgl
is the best solution. Not sure why you got that DAT error. Normally you can just remove any BGL file while the Sim isn't running. Maybe delete/rename it again and reboot.

disabling the photo BGL file doesn't appear to be a solution, as I get trees placed on the tarmac in the region of the cargo apron.
I can understand that you want to keep the download size low. But with a colour difference this significant I too would say it looks quite bad compared to the old version with FTX blending option.
Could you perhaps offer a FTX blend option as an optional download here in the forum? All FTX Global users would appreciate it very much
