Hi guys,
I've been having this issue lately whenever I'm arriving at Amsterdam Schiphol it takes ages for the autogen and certain scenery parts to load. Sometimes They all pop up when I'm on finals. This really breaks the immersion. Now I know it's a pretty hefty scenery, huge airport and detailed surrounding. I was wondering did any you guys/girls manage to disable the surrounding scenery so you just have the airport (And in my case Ftx OpenLC). Does it run better and how does it look?
Cheers everyone.
Tom

Disabling photoreal scenery surrounding EHAM
Re: Disabling photoreal scenery surrounding EHAM
I tried turning off the various surrounding areas, such as Tile A B C etc; however, the files act more like terrain bgls than photorealistic bgls in that when all were turned off the difference in VAS was nil. I may have made an error ready VAS values, but the resulting FTX Orbx landclass and terrain features did not line up with the airport in any manner.
I have turned off photo bgls at Montreal and Midway but didn't get the expected result at Amsterdam. I've left those files enabled.
