Hi Folks,
I'm pretty comfortable with building my own traffic files with AIFP - but since I moved to P3D I started with UT2... I'm trying to figure out why I am getting such a low volume of aircraft at FT airports even with all the traffic sliders maxed... I started with Buffalo - and I have a single Jet Blue E190 that shows up and that's it... I do have a bunch of GA on the ramp though... Now I know Buffalo isn't the traffic capital of the world but it should have a reasonable amount of traffic... When I used the airport in FS9 - with WOAI - I had plenty of planes... Now I suspect the AFCAD might not be 100% up to date with all the mergers so parking identifiers may have caused some loss... I looked at the "AFCAD" in ADEX - and - noticed all the "gate" positions were actually of the type "mil cargo ramp" - these were the spots at the actual terminal... Would that stop the correct traffic from arriving ? Anyone else have experience with FT Airports, P3D, and UT2 ? Ideas welcome...
Thanks...
Regards,
Scott
Very few AI from UT2 at KBUF ?
Re: Very few AI from UT2 at KBUF ?
The type of parking isn't so much of an issue, as long as the spots are big enough for the AI to use. The parking radius may be inaccurate as well in the aircraft.cfg's from UT2, but that I don't know as I haven't used it in a few years now. Lastly you might want to look at the parking codes, compare what you have in the KBUF afcad vs your AI. UT2 I think would still have Continental, US Airways, Northwest and all of their various feeders whose codes are no longer used.
Re: Very few AI from UT2 at KBUF ?
First off buddy you're trying to use UT2 as a traffic utility under the internal settings of P3D/FSX. That is incorrect my friend. It operates independent of those sliders.
Sorry Scott but perhaps you may have skipped a step.
1. to ensure proper integration I would recommend using the Estonia Tool.
2. Install UT2 plus updated schedule(s) whilst the Estonia tool is active
3. Install UT2 Power Pack (still under the active Estonia tool)
4. Run programs to ensure proper installation by following the install prompts
5. Compile your/any new schedules into the Power pack and then go back to the main UT2 program to align /appoint the appropriate AC.
6. Configure the percentages of General and Commercial aviation with the UT2 module.
Noting: that UT2 acts like that of Activesky products (externally)
7. Deactivate the Estonia tool and start up P3D..you should hear its theme song (if checked in the main config module you just exited) and go fly again from Buffalo.
you should now see SWA, Delta, Usairways/American and Jet Blue.
The general aviation you saw before was no doubt the AI from P3D only.
Hope this help mate
Cheers
if successful here's how things should look
