The T4 is almost finished

I ask myself what will happen to the buildings behind the terminal. I mean the Cargo area of emirates Sky cargo. I know they moved to Dubai World Central.

Hello flytampa,

I use FS9 with Dubai V2

I have installed the latest emirates flightplans for Su15 for pax and Skycargo.

The Cargo airline moved to OMDW.

Now with the new flightplan I have 60xA380, 99x 777-300ER, 1x A340-500,4x A340-300, 9x 777-200LR, 12x 777-300, 5 777-200. 16x A330-200.

During rush hour time at 03:00am I have up to 178 aircrafts at the same time on the airport, 34 of them are A380s!!!

18 of them are 737-800 of flydubai.

What I want to say is, that the Dubai V2 has reached the maximum Capacity of Ai aircrafts.

Of course I have also some other traffic like Cargo traffic and regional traffic., VIP jets.

Now I recognized that landing traffic disappears after landing, because no parking spot is free!.

Why I am writing this.

Because I can feel that you already started developing Dubai V3. I saw the latest airport charts, and at Rwy 30R they build a new apron S. also the area near T3 has changed a lot and many A330s, 777s can park there.

And of course the new T4 ( Concourse D) offers more parking positions.

I hope that you don`t ignore FS9ers this time again.

I can live without Sydney, Toronto, Kopenhagen, but not without Dubai!

I can remember three years ago you wrote that you needed two days for converting DUbai FSX version to FS9.

Also your were satisfied with the selling numbers of your scenery. Dubai V3 for FS9 would bring tears into the eyes of many flightsimmers who still use FS9.

100% agree with velocity !

i've completed my 200th flights on FT Dubai ... The most beautiful scenery for FS9... What a pleasure to land there with the numbers of A380's...

Two things to note.

First, one of the reasons that I love FT so much--and arguably more than some of the other "top" scenery developers--is that they do indeed stay on top of their products. No developer is going to update their products in real-time, adding a building here, a new taxiway extension there, etc. I'm sure they'll get it when they can but remember that while it's a good marketing proposition to tell new scenery buyers that your products are up-to-date and include all of the latest infrastructure, it's really new products that provide the lion's share of new profits.

Secondly, just because an airport authority has completed construction of something, doesn't mean a scenery developer can immediately make the requisite updates to their scenery products. Especially in the case of FT's Dubai, getting access to high quality photos--and a lot of them--is key to the development's accuracy. Depending on the part of the world, getting updated photos--or traveling there to take them yourself--can be costly and time-consuming.

All of this to say: temper your expectations accordingly.

Justplanes has uploaded a teaser of their TNT Airways 777-200LRF Video.

Here you can see many changes. Also very interesting buildings during approach and Apron Sierra.

A thread lasting over a year, and not a single response from Flytampa. They must be sick and tired of the requests as much as I am.

If an update is planned, I can see it fair to request the same be done for an FS9 version... that's as far as I'll go.

But geez, as detailed as FT Dubai is, I'm sure the devs are well aware of the real world changes. You paid for it in the state that it was released, not for a guarantee that it will be updated.

And the posts about AI schedules not fitting anymore... That is straight mind-boggling. The flightsim community doesn't revolve around your need to have proper flowing AI.

If it is that important to you, consider learning scenery design and do it yourself.

To me, the posts about FS9 are mind-boggling.

In many other hobbies (autos, music/musical instruments, etc.), I can understand vintage. But software? Flightsim software? People, c'mon. Get a hold of yourselves...

If they are going to be upgrading Dubai to a 3.0 they cant forget to add the two aerobatic flying jet wings men flying over the city! That has now become common place over there! So I guess we have to look forward to seeing them flying around the city on finals into DUBAI Intl!

By the time they finished their update, OMDB would have added 12 hangars and 2 runways. This would end up being a monthly subscription for updates to that airport. That'd be an interesting concept, I suppose :)
