Missing DDS files

Post by Max Reverse » Fri Aug 21, 2015 1:10 pm

Hi,
I updated my LGAV scenery a few days ago, and first I have to say thank you for a awesome piece of work.

After a couple of days, exactly today :), when starting FSX there are a few messages telling me: "Failed Loading Roofs1_LM.dds or Jetways3.dds" etc. - and a few other more.

Well I thought, strange but anyhow, lets redownload the 1.5 at Aerosoft again, and everythink is ok - but it´s not.
I downloaded LGAV 1.5 again, installed it fresh, fired up my FSX and the same messages are coming again??

No I am finnished with my wisdom, Thank you for help me.

Cheers,
Werner

What software reports these errors? FSX shouldn't care about missing textures.

I've attached Roof1_lm which is missing it seems. Although visually it won't make much difference.
Jetway3 shouldn't be needed anymore now we have new jetway models. Maybe you have old files still installed?

I'd wipe all the Athens files & check the stock airport is okay. Then re-install 1.5.

Good Morning George,

hmm, thats strange. I thought it's FSX reporting the missing files, but know I'll check that again. Thank you for the DDS file, but I first try to wipe all with "Athens" in it and install it again. There must be a reason for that error, especially if you don't use this files anymore. Thats going to be a interesting saturday.

Cheers,
Werner

Gentlemen,
i´ve found the reason for my problem.
Don´t jnow why and don´t knbow how, but when I checked my FSX.cfg I recognized that there is a new enty "Show missing texture allert". This entry was set to ON. Well I changed it to OFF and everything is gone.
The strange thing here, how is this entry coming in the config file??

Thank you Georg for making it your problem - have a nice weekend!!

Cheers,
Werner

In P3D i got this missing:

JETWAY3.DDS
JETWAY3_LM.DDS

Are those in use, Athens version 1.5 on new P3D install.
