Pushback problems

Post by mcbellette » Wed Jun 24, 2015 6:01 am

Hi, I own GSX which I mostly use for pushback from gates so that my aircraft will be pushed back and turned to have me facing the right direction and ready to taxi. However, since installing FlyTampa YSSY, my pushback at this particular airport when using GSX now only goes straight back, despite there being line markings on the ground for the tug to follow and so instead of lining up ON the taxiway line, I go straight back and end up 90 degrees off the line. Can you guys fix this so that pushbacks will again be able to include turning the aircraft and following line markings (within FSX realism limitations, obviously).

I don't own GSX yet but isn't there some program that comes with it that you use to set up/edit pushback

I have never had to do that for any other default or payware airport yet.

I don't think this sounds like a problem with the scenery. I'm not familiar with gsx though.

With YSSY the parking spots are coded with a pushback direction of NONE as opposed to LEFT/RIGHT or BOTH, which to me would mean that GSX then doesn't offer the option for a directional push. With CYYZ etc, the gates were all coded to BOTH.

George, this is exactly what GSX said to me. Can you please make changes to enable LEFT or RIGHT depending on the individual gate instead of NONE. For example if Gate 5 should turn the aircraft to the left to have it pointing in the right direction for taxi, please set that gate to left.

As Umberto said over at FSDT, it's simple enough to edit it to your own preference using GSX itself or ADE even.
