Hi all,
Just bought Sydney today and wanted to say great stuff. Thank you to all the people at FlyTampa.
My first real flight into Sydney was today and arrived in the dark, my mistake! After landing I selected gate 72 and set this up in the Aivlasoft EFB so I could taxi to the gate, also I set up gate 72 in GSX for the ground handling and then taxied to the gate which was a remote one. When I arrived there the parked aircraft on gate 71, I think it was, was facing out from the gate, and also on gate 72 the GSX handlers and the bat man where also set up to face out from the gate, ie the other way round to normal. The parking aid attached to the light stand also said "Inop". So my question is, is this peculiar to get 71 and 72 at Sydney and if so is there a special procedure to turn the aircraft on arriving at the gate? Also if not is this an issue with GSX recognizing the gate orientation?
Thanks again for a great product as always.
Gate 72 a question.

Re: Gate 72 a question.
These gates are just overflow parking spots I believe. They do park both in both directions at the real airport.
See shot below.
It's easy to spin the gate 180 degrees if you have ADE.
The safegates don't work at this location. Only on the terminals.

Re: Gate 72 a question.
Hi George,
Thanks for the interesting picture which answers my question brilliantly.
I don't have ADE, I believe that is an airport editor of some kind isn't it? I might need to do some homework on that. I guess in real life the aircraft would be pushed back into those remote parking spaces by pushback trucks.
Anyway thanks again for your reply.
