Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
I am truly admiring FT and your products. Always been happy until today when I purchased Copenhagen together with Grenadines.
The latter seems not to be compatible with P3Dv24 and as I found when reading in this forum also former P3Dv2 versions made problems. So why do you say it i is compatible with P3Dv2 on your Purchase site?
Autogen seems not to get properly installed. When I run the Grenadines Installer I get the "spb2xml has stopped working" error, an error which has been already reported several months ago in this forum. I also tried to run the Grenadines autogen.editor within the FT Grenadine Folder in P3d. Same result: "spb2xml has stopped workin" ...
Please provide a real fix and reconsider advertising Grenadines as beeing P3dv2 compatible.
My system: Win81, P3Dv2.4, FTX Global, FTX Vector and FSGlobal Ultimate mesh are installed. Disabling Vector and Pilots FSGUX mesh does not help. So I think it is truly a FT issue.
kind regards,
Harry

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
First the Installer version you got was? FlyTampa_Grenadines_FSX_P3D_11.exe
I'm looking into it.

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
I just finished test-installing Grenadines in 2.4. I saw an issues during installation that worked out when I ran the Fly-Grenadines_FSX_P3D_AutogenEditor.exe manually from the /Addon Scenery/FlyTampa-Grenadines/ directory afterwards. I'm not sure if the problem was because I didn't run-as-admin or not. The Fly-Grenadines_FSX_P3D_AutogenEditor.exe edited the Autogen entries and I see the trees & palms on the island.
By default there is a problem with some "bushes", which got corrected after copying this fix:
http://flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=6538
I recall reading about P3D having some Autogen bug with 3rd party Autogen, not sure where I read that, can't find it now. Note I did not have all the other addons you listed installed. FTX maybe an issue in that one may have to disable FTX trees in their control panel before installing other Addons that also edit the Autogen files.
Please try running the Fly-Grenadines_FSX_P3D_AutogenEditor.exe as described above and let me know what happens and if you get an error message post a screenshot. Note that when running that file you must select P3D root dir (not /Autogen) and that the program may become unresponsive for 10-20 secs, perhaps longer on a slow computer. If it hangs for minutes, terminate via taskmanager and let me know.

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
I did as you suggested. When I had chosen the P3Dv2 main folder. I click on start. After some seconds the window gets kinda unsharp and afetr another 5 seconds I get the error message (see below). I guess I am doing everything right on my side.

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
I am not able to induce a crash like that here (Win8.1 64Bit, P3D2.4). I doubt that the crash has to do with P3D itself. Are you avail by email to help me do some tests and bugtrack the issue?
Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
Yes, you can reach me per email (with that one I registered in the forum). I am living in Vienna (Zulu+1).

Has this issue been resolved? I use p3dv2.4 and ftx global/regions and I was thinking of getting Grenadines.

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
after looking at the autogen files from the user, all the entries were edited correctly, so spb2xml must have crashed after finishing its job. No AGN being visible in P3D was fixed with this patch:

Re: Grenadines truly compatible with P3Dv2x?
I receive this error as well, for what it's worth. P3D v3.1. Haven't tested to see how things look yet.
