Installing problem

Post by FsimProductions » Fri Nov 07, 2014 10:08 am

Hello Folks,

Today I bought Copenhagen! I'm really very excited getting my Hands on it. UNfortunately on install, I can Chose the path of Installation (in my case P3D V2.4) but I can't click on the next button. So installing that beautiful scenery isn't possible for now.
Is this a known issue? What can I do to resolve it?

Many thanks for your Support and Keep on rocking!

Cheers,
Loïc

You need to select the main/root Prepar3D folder, meaning the folder where Prepar3D.exe is in. Then it will let you click "next". If you selected some subfolder it won't let you click "next".

Thank you Martin for the quick reply. Actually I have created a seperate root only for P3D, so I have K: root in in it directly all P3D files with the P3D.exe. Was something wrong in my descision?

You mean that P3D is installed directly in K: without its own folder? So you have
K:/Prepar3d.exe
K:/Addon Scenery/
K/Effects/
....?

If that is the case and our installer does not let you select just K: please proceed as follows:
create a temp folder somethwere and name it anything you like, copy the Prepar3D.exe into it. Then install Copenhagen into this temp folder. Once done. Copy the whole Folder structure from the temp folder to K:

Yes exactly! So you mean after having installed Copenhagen I simply Transfer all files from the new Folder into the respective ones?

Correct, the temp installation folder will have subolders created by the installer like /Effects/ and /Addon Scenery/ all of which you just copy over to your proper P3D install location.

You're my man of the day! It worked perfectly! Looks fantastic! Thank you very much Martin!

Just one last question: During Installation I was told to download vistamare. What is that and where can I find it?

If you are running Prepar3D you cannot get/install Vistamare at this point. It only works in FSX.
