GSX troubles

Post by JensPeter » Tue Nov 04, 2014 8:42 am

Hej

I have encountered a problem as follow, after using the EKCH Configuration Tool first time.

When trying to use GSX, on the RWY or at the gates, i recieve this error message;

GSX [system error while accessing file] D:>>>>
flytampa-copenhagen/scenery/af2_ekch_fsx(jets_random)_nw.bgl: create file failed:file was not found (system 2)

i tried to turn back all setting as before, even reinstalled the Addon manager from FSDT, but no luck :shock:

When checking the EKCH scenery folder, the af2-ekch/jets_random file was renamed to _nw.off
(also the af2_EKCH_FSX(no_jets) was off) renaming it to .bgl curred the problem.

Take Care

I believe this problem appears when you use the Configurator Tool after you have run FSX with the scenery installed.

In my case I changed moving jetways from Random to All and that caused the GSX error message. The easiest - and I believe safest - way to correct this is to force GSX to re-generate the airport cache. The way I did this was to fire up FSX, de-activate the 3 CPH layers in the scenery library, let FSX load, shut down, fire up FSX, re-activate the 3 CPH layers in the scenery library.
