KLAX
KLAX
Dear Martin and George,
I will be very happy when you create a Fly Los Angeles version of KLAX.
The only one out there by Simflyers will be updated soon but I don't expect it to be very much when you look at their latest releases (I own all Simflyer's airports) which are still by very poor and outdated FS2000 "quality" standards.
Exeption though is KLAS. (maybe another designer?)
I doubt if anyone besides you and maybe Sim-wings are able to create great add-ons.
When you do KLAX their will be a lovely string of superb airports along the USA Westcoast from Canada to Mexico.
Hope you will consider my request!
Regards,
Haromo

Re: KLAX
This ranks up there with the absurd in posts. If you think that Simflyers latest releases only merit and FS2000 quality..then your head is stuck in the sand. Have you seen KIAH? What about KJFK? Those are far better than FS2000 or 2002 or even 2004 quality. Those are a bunch of hard working guys and to demean their work like that, well, it is a shame on your part. :roll:haromo wrote:The only one out there by Simflyers will be updated soon but I don't expect it to be very much when you look at their latest releases (I own all Simflyer's airports) which are still by very poor and outdated FS2000 "quality" standards.

B777ER,
Don't think my post is that absurd!?
As I said I own all Simflyer airports including KJFK and KIAH.
Airport layout may be well done with all the details present but you don't have the feeling of being there.
Just look at the horrible trees and the poor textures of the buildings.
The textures are lifeless, there are no taxiway borderlight poles, no custom runway textures except at KLAS which is very good.
I don't question the hard work being done by Simflyers or demean their work (remember I bought all their airports) but they can do so much better.
Wait till Fly Tampa does one off the airports that Simflyers has done and you will know what I mean.
Fly Tampa has set new standards that no scenery designer out there has yet achieved.
So that is why I hope that they will do my favorite airport KLAX.
Regards,
Haromo

KLAX, the fifth busiest airport in the world, would be a fantastic addition! George and Martin have a way with textures, especially ground textures, that greatly enhance the appearance of their work. And the frame rates, without sacraficing detail, are unbeatable.
I really like to see Fly Tampa airports that blend in with Megascenery like KSAN. I hope the upcoming KSFO does the same with the recently released Northern California Megascenery, which is awesome!

Re: KLAX
I do have to agree with Haromo. The sceneries Simflyers has been producing are totally FS2000 quality. Now they want to charge $10 for updated ground textures on their KATL scenery. Want to see a real update? Change the whole terminal building, which is quite outdated, and replace it with a new one with quality textures, not FS2000 textures which are grainy and distorted.B777ER wrote:This ranks up there with the absurd in posts. I am new to airport scenery, but I have tried a few products out there. I tried the simflyers scenery with IAD and JFK and LAS and it seemed ok, but not amazing. As you can tell my by username that my favorite airport is klax. I tried the simflyers scenery for lax, and was disappointed. Everything was substandard. I am a huge fan of flytampa's work, and would also like to see a klax scenery done. The way that all the flytampa sceneries have been done, it would be a great addition to have a good lax.
This is interesting....
I just searched the simflyers forum for a confirmation that they will be updating LAX, as I only want to buy a new GMAX version. Apparently they're only gauging further updates on the success of KATL 2.... So they may not upgrade KLAX afterall.
I think this is a prime opportunity for Fly Tampa to do LAX. I'd be first to splash down the cash as your sceneries are far superior.
Cheers,
Boone

Oh yes defenately! Long time before Martin released his "upcoming list" I asked him to do KLAX in the usal Tampa/Miami quality. I hope that KLAX will be part of the next list for next year if the current planned sceneries are done.....I think this is a prime opportunity for Fly Tampa to do LAX. I dont know what is more shocking, the fact that you brought up a 10 year old thread or that 2004 was 10 years ago....

Ha ha good one, Docu. In case you aren't yet aware, the older one gets, the faster the years fly, and the weaker one's memory becomes.
I was going to say something else, but in all the confusion, I clean forgot what it was.
