Yes - I am looking forward to the FS2004 version too! I have flown the Sydney-Dubai route several times as a passenger on the A380. It will be great to try it on FS2004 with FlyTampa's great scenery.

This will be my toughest airport project to date, so i'd like to consider hiring a part-time 3D Artist to help out. If you are very familiar with 3D modelling, UVW mapping, AO baking, please send some examples of your work to g.grimshaw[at]flytampa.com.
We can only provide limited training, so you must know what you are doing. Please no MS Paint or Google SketchUp users :)

OOI, did you manage to find someone for that job opening in the meantime?

Will Flytampa's (soon to be amazing :)) scenery be compatible with Orbx's FTX Australia?

I would certainly hope so, be a deal breaker if it isn't.

Very excited to see YSSY in development, especially for us FS9 users.

Just a silly question as I'm new to Flytampa sceneries. How long does it usually take to develop a Flytampa airport?

Thanks,

David

I can't answer your questions accurately at this stage. Sydney is progressing nice & steadily.

I've not tried it with Orbx's scenery as of yet but intend to later. We added a large custom photoscenery & mesh around the airport so hopefully it will overpower the Orbx scenery and avoid the usual problems.

This should be a BIG seller.
Simmers have been raving about a quality YSSY for many years now.

Heads up regarding ORBx compatibility: FTX Global should be out this month and I hope flyTampa YSSY will fit in nicely :)

Keep up the good work

Not trying to have a dig at you speedbird as Im sure everyone using fsx would love a Seattle reboot but it has been asked before (and even by yourself, viewtopic.php?f=25&t=6063&start=60) to which flytampa has replied that the Frame hit in that region is unfortunately just too big for a reboot of KSEA atm. :)
