Thanks for the info.trystanv wrote:I know its a bit old, but seeing as nobody answered...george[flytampa] wrote:I think at Montreal, although I'm not sure, they just transport passengers from the Ramp/Aeroquay to the main terminal.
Is there a underground tunnel between the Aeroquay & Main terminal? I guess not if they need these big buses.
The bus can dock to the side of a plane like a jetway if it wishes. I remember riding one at JFK when I was really young.

The Aeroquay is linked to the main terminal via a tunnel. The Aeroquay is basically a part of the old satellite terminal, and thus the tunnel was preserved. The buses are used for aircraft that park on the remote stands, although as far as I know they are only used when there is a high volume of traffic at the Main terminal and no gates are available, I've seen Air Transat use them a few times but that's pretty much it. The Aeroquay is mainly used by Air Canada Express for domestic flights.
That being said, can't wait for the scenery to be released, being a Montreal FIR controller on VATSIM, I think we'll be getting a few new visitors

This would be great if it's true
Re: Montreal Preview Three
CYUL does have a connection to CYTZ. As does KBOS and KMDW....

Re: Montreal Preview Three
Which map states about that there is more canadian airports being done? Personally I too would like if was true, and maybe some foreign projects too. Toronto sounds really interesting indeed. Any news about Montreal release? I don't yet have enough money due waiting for salary, but releasing the FSX version while the FS9 version is in development may help with funds. Then FS9 gives the final sums. Or... are we in for a surprise of 3 airports released same time?
Off topic post here, so feel free to delete it if necessary. Is there any good virtual airline that flies flights in and out of Montreal? With hopefully a 767 but MD-11 and 747, 737, or whatever fleet there is would be ok. Since the european virtual airlines unfortunately, many of them have an all airbus fleet and currently there's no good Airbus for FS (A330, A340s) etc. If not, hopefully Montreal can accomodate a Tu-154 coming from overseas

In FS, you can fly whatever you want to wherever you want within reason...
Nobody is going to turn up on your doorstep with a writ for breaching noise abatement procedures and restrictions for flying the 154 into Montreal, or wherever for that matter...
Check out the map on the FT home page, you can see the Montreal marker and a new one south west and fairly close to Buffalo... looks like Toronto to me too, though no idea if it is Pearson or another Toronto airport...
Whatever it turns out to be, after the wonder of Dubai Rebooted, it is going to be a must have!

Can't wait!!!
Re: Montreal Preview Three
For VAs that fly 767s into Montreal you got Air Canada obviously, if not in real life you got British Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and a couple of other ones. For the MD-11 KLM is the only one I know of that flies MD-11s into Montreal. 747s Air France does
Re: Montreal Preview Three
Guys -- here is an image with the new dots on them. You can see Montreal (CYUL) and what looks to be Toronto (CYYZ or CYTZ)
