How about someone animates the Monorail, and see what follows...

The Monorail is a bit problematic. In FS9 I have a frame limitation of 1024 after which the animation starts looping. Animations run at 18 fps so 1024 isn't a lot of time to animate this long & slow moving track. AES could probably do it but i haven't talked to Oli about it.

In FSX the monorail is a problem too, but for different reasons... mostly the round earth resulting in pieces of the monorail track not aligning correctly in several parts. This wouldn't be a big deal if it was an airport monorail that runs within a limited area, but because it runs over such a huge distance, I have no solution for it.

Oliver has this stuff covered... ever since LOWI and its trains, I have been a convert!
Of course, you could always do multiple train units that loop from station to station at three or four points down the line... don't know if that would impact performance too much?

The 1024 limit isn't even enough to animate form one station to another. Some are quit a distance and it would have to move insanely fast to get there. There is still the round-earth/distance problem in FSX and I'm not investing in features that are for FS9 only at this point.

The best option would to have a word with Oliver (AES lite) IMHO.

Ditto. But since that requires extra costs for the developer (Oliver's work) and Dubai is already out, I doubt we will see it.
