Re: DX10
No chance unfortunately. DX10 mode will not load night textures for Airport Ground Polygons and there is no way I can live without them. If you fly daytime only, DX10 works fine btw.
Re: DX10
Thanks Martin, did notice this with OMDB rebooted. Such a shame..
But in DX9 it looks and feels AWESOME.. Fantastic job Guys!!
Cheers,
Mars

Re: DX10
Personally, I'm more hopeful that P3D will eventually come out with updated Gfx/tech, as opposed to FSX-DX10 mode ever becoming fully usable for everybody. Current version of P3D appears to run DX9 btw and they even removed the DX10-Preview option completely... (I assume they got the DX10 code with ESP).

Re: DX10
Is that in DX10 mode?
Re: DX10
Yes, you said it works well in daytime and was just hoping that this minor glitch can be fixed just for the day time!!

Re: DX10
What you see there btw are papi lights. Do they stay red squares all the time? they should switch to white/yellow. Is that happening at all?

Re: DX10
It is most likely texture-settings that affect our halo texture. While being about FS9, the following thread has the same underlaying issue:
http://flytampa.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5759
In the case of DX10, I am not sure how the Trilinear/Anisotripic setting within FSX itslelf and the NV/ATI anisotropic settings are handled and prioritized. I'm not sure it can be fixed in case of DX10, it just seems unreliable to me. I played around with some Texture Filtering settings here and ended up with this (screen shot in DX10 mode). The white PAPI lights are fine, the red one however is a box. That is pretty unreliable since both light colors are coming from the same texture sheet. Under no settings could I get it to become all red squares that never change (like you do).
Very unlikely I can fix DX10 issues.

I think you should take a look to this link http://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/, and download and install the DX10 corrections mod from the author.
Steve Parson and Bojote changed the way we experience FSX.
Now, many people (I also) uses only FSX with the DX10 preview.
Regards,
Gerard.
PD: Sorry for my bad english

Re: DX10
I think that just fixes a few default scenery problems & i doubt it'll do anything to help our scenery.Gerardius wrote:Hi,martin[flytampa] wrote:It is most likely texture-settings that affect our halo texture. While being about FS9, the following thread has the same underlaying issue:

We really do recommend users stay away from 'DX10 Preview'. Its broken & has many surprising problems hiding within.

Re: DX10
I tried it about a month ago but unfortunately it didn't help the Addon specific problems I have to deal with. Otherwise the mods do what they say and improve DX10 mode, I'm not claiming they don't.Gerardius wrote:[I think you should take a look to this link http://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/, and download and install the DX10 corrections mod from the author.
