I actually like the black layout, but I guess I'm in the minority here.

I don't get the big deal with Chrome. I tried it after you guys mentioned it in the beginning of this thread. It seemed really plain, am I missing something?

Plain compared to IE which I've used for years. Help me out. There must be something really good about it that I don't know since a lot of people are using it. I haven't really explored it so I honestly don't know. Isn't a browser a browser?

Chrome is supposed to just be a basic and clean browser. And on my Vaio, it runs significantly faster than IE. In fact, if I remember correctly, my Vaio came preloaded with Chrome as that is what the "web only" mode uses.

I must admit, when I first started using Chrome (after using Firefox for a while), I wasn't a fan but after a while of getting used to it and now that it is on my Vaio which only has a 14-inch screen, Chrome is amazing.

I tried Chrome once, but I'm too used to Firefox so that's what I'm using.

Anyway, I agree that the forum does look better than it did in the past. I was never really active in the past, but I was around.

But why is it amazing MM? And when you say faster than IE what do you mean?

Really Dan you should be using anything but IE. Its plagued the internet for too long. Try Firefox, Opera or Safari if you don't like Chrome.

But the thing is I have nothing against Chrome I just want to know what is it about Chrome that is making people switch. I've never had problems with IE but some people say that they have. When I ask what kind of problems, they never give me a straight answer. I'm all about using what's best and I just want someone to explain why it's better. I can't check those links from work so I'll check them from home.

Fair enough. I just like the cleaner interface of Chrome better. The latest Beta version of IE has a nice interface but unfortunately, I cannot use it as one of my school programs requires IE7 or 8 and not the latest Beta.

By faster, I mean, it literally loads pages faster for me. Another thing with IE is that it sometimes gets laggy when I try to click on things and enter things. I have no idea why but I've never had that happen when browsing in Chrome so it leads me to believe it is something with IE.

Cool. So the loading pages faster thing would be nice. Mine does hang for a little whie sometimes. I always just assumed that it was my internet connection.

So when is the dark look to the forum coming back as an option? When it does I'm going back to it. I really liked that one.

It's been back for about a week now. Just go to User Control Panel/Board Preferences and there is a drop down menu for "My Board Style"
