Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a quick question. Has anybody seen any problems with the FS9 ATIS software and the the Fly Tampa Software Packages?
First off, I am uncertain if my problem relates directly to any of the Fly Tampa Addons that I have installed, but currently unless I am at a default airport, operating a default aircraft, I am unable to connect to ATIS. Where as ATIS fails to work at most of my payware airports, ATC works without an issue. I'm just interested to see if anybody else has seen this issue with any of their payware addons. Again, I am uncertain if this is a Fly Tampa issue, but the problem and its resolution is driving me nuts.
Thanks for your help
Tom

What ATIS software? I thought the ATIS was apart of the default ATC. Or is there some other program I don't know about?TC01 wrote:Hi, I'm new to the forum and I have a quick question. Has anybody seen any problems with the FS9 ATIS software and the the Fly Tampa Software Packages?

Re: ATIS issues
My issue is with the MS FS9 Atis portion of thier software. Since you see on the screen at the same time, I allways thought that ATC and ATIS ran together. But it appears that although the menu screens are displayed together they must be handled sperately in FS9. I my case ATC works, ATIS does not.
By the way the ATIS weather and runway options can also be handled under RC4.

Oh okay. Well, I haven't had any problems with the ATIS in MS after installing any FlyTampa or other payware sceneries. What exactly is it doing?TC01 wrote:My issue is with the MS FS9 Atis portion of thier software. Since you see on the screen at the same time, I allways thought that ATC and ATIS ran together. Re: ATIS issues
ATC and ATIS will work if I select a default airport with default aircraft. If I select any payware airport, ATC continues to work, but ATIS will not engage.

Re: ATIS issues
I'm confused, default ATIS is controlled via the default ATC window. Are you saying ATIS and its frequency are not selectable on the ATC window? Or can it be tuned but no audio? Or audio, but no ATIS banner? Go to an airport where you have a problem, then take a screen shot that illustrates the problem.
I have not tested it, but I suppose you could 'disable' ATIS if you delete ATIS frequencies from the Afcad. So perhaps that is the problem. But then why would all addon sceneries be affected?! For that same test airport, open the Afcad and check the frequencies list, verify ATIS is listed and write down the frequency, then in the sim tune that frequency.
You mention RC, have you set the FSUIPC config option to disable the default ATC? Because that'll kill the default ATIS as well. They are really no separate pieces of the puzzle. ATIS is simply one of the options within default ATC, like many other frequencies and functions.
