BWI - Baltimore Washington International In Development

Post by andrewblan » Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:56 am

Hello,

Haven't been in the forums lately but I'm glad to be back. I wanted show some work in progress shots of BWI-Baltimore Washington International Airport Which has not gotten any flight sim treatment. The screenshots are below, and keep in mind that they are much WIP, so things will change. I want to know how you like it, and also what can be done to improve it.

I have started from the back of the airport, so I can work my way up towards the main terminal.

I value everyone's opinion on this so even if you are not a developer please comment. :-)
Please let me know the interest you have in BWI, or if I should stop right here before I get too far ahead.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks
Andrew

Looks promising! Hope to see more of the making process.....
I am always interested in good looking sceneries!

Not a perfect developer myself, but I'm trying to become one someday :D

What program are you using? It almost reminds me of Google Sketchup.

I am using google sketchup for the outlines of the buildings, but it will all be imported to 3ds Max for touch ups and such. By the way....congrats on your 1000th post....I just noticed that hehe

Can't wait for this. O'm going for a day trip to BWI on 1/31/11 if you need any pics. (I will probably be restricted to concourse A/B though)

For many pilots it it a convenient destination away from the heavy traffic going into Dulles and Andrews.
You usually get 33l because the wind is often out of the west, it has a great approach from the eastern shore over the Chesapeake bay into a pair of runways 33L 9000'/ 33R 5000'.
