Any Conflict Between Fly Tampa KMDW and Chicago VFR Scenery

Post by grasshopper » Sat Jan 02, 2010 9:59 am

Hi all, I did run a search to see whether this question had come up here before, but there were way too many hits to go through, so I'd like to ask now whether I should expect any conflicts between Fly Tampa KMDW, and the Chicago VFR scenery by Horizon/ Visual Flight Simulation, advertised in the below link.

http://www.simshack.net/product_info.php?products_id=91

I intend to run short flights between KMDW and KORD, and I do own FSDT's scenery of KORD, as well as Fly Tampa KMDW, so I thought I'd better find out if all these three scenery products can co-exist with no conflicts.

Thanks

I wouldn't think there would be a problem as long as you put the airports on layers above the photoscenery BUT I've heard that that specific photoscenery is AWFUL! I wouldn't recommend buying it. It doesn't appear to have any autogen and the color correction and blending is said to be off.

There are much better ones available for FSX but unfortunately, none that I can find for FS9. :|

Thanks for the reply Mighty Midget. I didn't find any user reviews for the Horizon Chicago VFR for FS9, so your report about the poor quality of this scenery is giving me second thoughts about placing my order now.

I did notice that the date of production for Chicago VFR was 2005, and some of the other scenery products I've used from that far back have been less than spectacular. Oh well, it might be worth my while waiting to see what new sceneries hit the market in coming months, given that I remain a die-hard FS9 user for now.
