If the Grenadines editing works with both, the matter just being that you have run it every time after switching, the problem may just be finding out what file FTX is recovering when doing the switches.

If you can, load all files that look like backups of default.xml within the Autogen folder into Notepad. Then search each for "<code>R". Right after that you might see entries labeled "ft_agn_tropic_2x2_mix" etc. If you do, close those files, they have our content already.

If you don't see that after <code>R, and instead the default "Rural Farm Pens", that would be a copy of default.xml without the FlyTampa entries. If you find such a file, carefully make another backup of it elsewhere, copy the flytampa data into it (under <code>R...) and see if that solves the FTX switching problem

That's what I did and it worked fine for me. But to come back to my initial statement: messing with essential files can not be the way for a "casual" user. Maybe its better to fly to Australia having a little break to switch ;-)))

I agree, and while it wouldn't be hard for me to automatically change not only the default.xml but also copies and backups of it, this seems rather dangerous and perhaps too intrusive when I think about it.

Good evening

FTX is a scenery by ORBX called Full Terrain X covering Australia. It has nothing to do with the Grenadines scenery.
I do also own the FTX SP3 package and don't have any problems (so far). In my case, the FTX is always ON.

I have a small problem at TVSM: When I start a flight at this airport, I don't have any problems. But then I made a short flight from TGPZ to TVSM with my Piper Saratoga and after landing I recognized that some parts of the runway were flickering (if requested I could make a screenshot).

Anyway, it's a GREAT ADDON. Thank you very much Martin and FlyTampa!

Do you have DirectX10 preview on?

I have seen this happen, but generally it shouldn't happen with a regular flight at normal speed.

Setting the Mesh sliders higher under FSX settings should cure it altogether.
