How about a Canadian Airport

I would really like to see a Canadian airport as well. Victoria, BC (YYJ) would be a good choice as you already have SEA and Horizon flies this route daily. CYYJ has flights from Harmony Airways to LAS, Integra Air to Lethbridge, Pacific Coastal to Vancouver, Air Canada Jazz to Vancouver and Calgary, Purolator flies to YVR and Kelowna (YLW) from Victoria, and of course, Westjet flies direct to YYC, YEG, YLW, YXU, YWG, YUL and YYZ.

Also, I wouldnt mind seeing Westjet's hub, Calgary (YYC) be done. :)

Thanks

George,

Any thought on 'FlyVictoria'? I have family there and fly to YYJ often, I could supply you with as many pictures/charts as you need.

YYZ! The simflyers one is a frame hog, and doesn't have the new terminal, the old Terminal 1, has long since been levelled.

This is the one SimFlyer's airport I have nothing good to say about. I'm all for someone taking on YYZ.

Vancouver is good option, since some company already did the Toronto airport. But their main customer target still on the State. :P I'm from Edmonton, but I will never reduest them to make one, Edmonton airport sucks........
Actually I don't think so...I really like the YEG airport...and I was hoping for someone to do something with it.
True, but not on payware right? There's a freeware of YEG airport you can download. Do you think Fly Tampa will ever consider to make a tiny airport such as the YEG? They will......... only if Fly Tampa is a Canadian based company.
Wher can I download that freeware scenery of YEG?

I am puzzled as to why so many FS scenery companies over the last 3-4
years have said CYVR is near the top of their list yet they end up dropping
the airport.

From years of reading/contributing to FS forums and newsgroups Vancouver
has always been a popular FS destination. Now with the 2010 Winter
Olympics looming CYVR should be a very popular airport for FSer.

I can tell you that I've attempted YVR and I gave up because the airport sits on an island and its almost impossible to get the island ground to look like the real thing in terms of size and shape. If no one cared about the ground or the horrible default afcad, then just making a terminal would not be a big deal, but it would feel incomplete. Others may have different experiences.

Thanks for the reply FSJ.

I found FSX had the island down pretty close. When I played with it in FS9 I
managed to get a huge Flatten down. The AFCAD wasn't hard just REALLY
time consuming. I don't "do" Gmax so I would have had to rely on someone
else for the buildings.

Besides, my scenery design days are over I think. Little projects for myself
are fine but nothing big ever again. :D
