What what what the?! Kai Tak closed like a century ago. WHAT ABOUT VHHH???? nobody has done anything for VHHH one of the world's busiest airport. This Kai Tak looks extraordinary but so unreal to fly there since it's closed and no freaking airline flies there, you would have to built some fake destinations.. I hope you guys would consider VHHH, since you're one of the few great scenery designers and no other has VHHH in plan... PLS!!

I mean, we don't know anything about coverage, ....
I see the coverage and it doesn't include VHHH. No reason to even consider getting hopes up unless I only got half of the scenery for testing... which I doubt.

Without Kai Tak...who wants to fly to Hong Kong? (other than the locals)

Well, there is an insane amount of buildings in this scenery, take those 3 islands, multiple the amount of "stuff" they have by a factor of 100, put that together in one area and presto, you have Hong Kong.

seen like that, to be honest with you, I don't care about VHHH...I have never landed or taken off from there when Kai tak is sitting next to it and not to be closed any time soon in my sim

Looks awesome. 8)

I noticed though that the approach lights on runway 13 are ALSF-1 but they should be more like Calvert I style. In real life it was probably not exactly Calvert I but in my opinion that would be the closest that is available in the sim.

Otherwise it all looks just great.

Hmm, look at the Jepps, it seems to me thats a adapted ALSF-1, a Calvert looks differt:
Image

Jeppesen called the runway 13 ALS oficially "SF", the runway 31 ALS only "S".
Never heard about these types, but the 13 ALS looks almost a curved ALSF-1 and the 31 ALS like a RAIL.
The more detailed explanation was:
Runway 13: 1925m curved approach lights centre line of light intensity high/white and light intensity low/red, electronic flash approach system lighting, PAPI 3.10

Runway 31: 593m, light intensity high/white and light intensity low/red, 4 white strobes lights, PAPI 3.00 L
I bet those systems were not ICAO-standard  .

People stop complaining, be freaking happy to have groups like FlyTampa and others including freeware designers to create FS addons.

Without them, we'd all be flying these shitty default planes and land/depart from desert-like airports.

If you can do it better - feel free to show your skills!

It may look like this when I'm done:

But then again, now that I heard the news of Kai-Tak's closure, why finish it at all :)

Since 9Dragons released their scenery, I'm a frequent visitor into Kai Tak. Especially a lot of fun flying Jumbos including SP, Lockheeds, DC10s or any other heavy aircraft into KT.

IGS13 approach is just incredible to fly, especially during shitty weather.

On the other hand, if develops like George or you would actually listen to all the whiny babies, no scenery would ever be released.

Exactly! Believe me, there are many more of those who love Kai Tak and are happy, more than happy, to see a FlyTampa Kai Tak coming to life, than those who are whining and questioning your decision. Whiners are usually louder than the others. :)

I also fly regularly to Kai Tak (thanks to the 9 Dragons team for their magnificent work!) and will continue to do so, especially after I get my hands on the FT's rendition of the famous airport.

So, here's a big THANK YOU for making my favourite airport. :)

Last but not least, hello to all, I finally registered, LOL.

Regards,
Jure

P.S.: Don't believe the rumours that the Kai Tak airport is closed. It is not! 8)
