Great video yes, too bad that almost half of it consists of credits
I have the HD version on my harddisk (saved it before their site ran out of bandwidth), shout if you guys want it.
The project looks very promising so far, but I haven't read anything about framerates yet. Methinks an airport with so much heavy traffic should be designed with framerates on top of the list of important items; especially when Kowloon is being modelled as well.
Good stuff: Jim Vile is on the credit list! I'm very much looking forward to this release to try out my Ready for Pushback 747-200 skills..
EDIT: The video file is 86,1 MB (zipped), I would have no idea how to sent it over if you guys are interested. I'm open for suggestions though.

Can I ask you Gentlemen, a dumb question, and this is the right
occasion for me to ask what I long time wanted to:
Why aircrafts do not land in the opposite directon instead of performing
this delicate and sometimes dangerous procedure? Yes I know that
winds do not always allow it, but all the times?
Thanks for clearing up this matter for me

Purely a guess on my part, but maybe with the mountains there, fully loaded heavies wouldn't be able to clear the ridge in time? But if that were the case, you'd think they could land one way and take off the other like at KEGE. It must be the winds.Tolbiac wrote:Can I ask you Gentlemen, a dumb question, and this is the right

I bless of course, this type of initiatives. I sincerly hope it wont be a framerate mega killer, Just looking at these buildings around, roads etc, and truly believe its one of the hardest and complicated sceneries to create. keeping my fingers crossed for this teamWEAJHD wrote:As far as i kow it's the entire hong kong area with terrain mesh, photoscenery, buildings.. etc. It's a complete package that have taken several years to accomplish
Truly looking forward to this

I guess we'll see where the frame rates end up, but after looking at Flyhalf's latest video of the scenery where he uses the PMDG 747 (which is a resource-hungry product), it runs pretty smooth so my hopes are upM.D.Miron wrote:I bless of course, this type of initiatives. Unfortunately the only time I ever flew in to Kai Tak we landed on runway 31 so I missed out on the IGS approach. It was not a straight in approach though as it did have a slight dog leg in it to avoid terrain.Tolbiac wrote:Can I ask you Gentlemen, a dumb question, and this is the right
