Ok sorry guys, but I am a total computer retard, and have a stupid question:

Does this addon work in FSX? I tihnk not, cause it uses afgad...but still...?
If not, are there any plans to make it compatible with FSX?

As I'm the only person who hasn't upgraded to 2.1, my 2 questions are; 1) Is AES affected with the new version?

2)Have the gate numbers changed any? (I have a crapload of flightplans for each airline from each terminal and I have no intention of re-writing them)

Hi,

1) AES is based on Version 2.1
2) The gate numbers are not involved in the flightplans, only the airline assignments, they are still there. But to be save, make a backup of your old AFCad, if you see a problem, you can use the old one with the update (limited to the runways it has).

Hey what's up Oliver (one of my favorite people I don't know) :D , thanks for replying. In regards to the second question I guess I should have been clearer. What I was wondering was if the afcad for 2.1 is different in terms of the airline parking. A specific example of what I'm worried about is that all my Delta flightplans out of BOS I leave from gate A14 (about 15 or so plans) and I have a similar amount for each airline at each terminal (over 75 flightplans). The problem I'm trying to avoid is that if the afcad (parking)has changed then I would have to re-do all those flightplans, so I guess instead of all this blabbering I should have just asked if the afcad is different in BOS 2.1 :)

Ah, you mean the flightplans of your own airplane!? Then the afcad is only involved to provide the position you plane is placed. I don't think that this positions have been moved. Make a backup of the old version and try it, that's the best way to check the result.

I upgraded to 2.1 and nothing has changed with the gates (I only checked the Delta, Jetblue, and the North Western Cargo parkings) with the exception of some cargo and commuter sized gates (rj, avros, etc) in the vicinity of the new runway. Nice touch with the moving airport vehicles (airside) George. I especially love the white vans blazing around the airport perimeter at about 120 mph (guess the driver has to use the bathroom or something) :D

Again thanks for the help Oliver, see you on the Aerosoft forums.

Is there any expected update for the taxiway changes? K became B and there was a few taxiway changes between 4L-9-4R.

My guess would be no since it's just minor taxiway changes.

It's actually not that quite small. Kilo becoming Bravo, yes, however the taxiways between 4L-9-4R aren't so. They went under alot of construction over the summer.
