Do you have a other scenery installed??

For example the one by FranceVFR or a freeware scenery??

That is completely messed up indeed. I also suspect you may have something else installed for this area, tho I have not seen this effect in any tests we ran.

Step 1 would be to check your FS scenery library for other entries related to St Maarten and St Barts and uncheck them temporarily.

I can't identify the problem to a single file. There are several default files that get changed by both FranceVFR and our scenery. I bet there is a conflict somewhere.

What you should try:

1. Uninstall FranceVFR version.
2. Re-Install our version.

Check for changes.

If not we will have go go into those default /scenery/name/scenery folders and look at the actual files.

Martin, problem almost solved. Just one problem stay, when I´m taking off, after the mid of runway the plane fall down. I change the value in Max_terrain_level to 21 but all the scenery is with some little hills, when I but 20 the scenery stay like the screens bellow, but the plane fall down after some metes

Is the airport/runway elevated when you look from the beach? I mean it should be all on the same level almost flat (at 0 meter): the beach + runway.

The only way your plane could fall down is if something is higher then 0 meter I assume.

By the way.. jorgehmosteiro's last picture shows something that I would like to ask about. Those strange sky-coloured "shadows" around the trees.. is this a bug or just something else?
It doesn't bother me too much but i just wondered as the sky keeps showing around the trees strangely.

Great product, thanks :)

Page 9 in the pdf tells you why.

hi,

if you want to use martin's scenery you not only need to deactivate the france vfr scenery, but you need to uninstall it !

only deactivating it leave geomodifs files in the scenery\name\scenery directory and these files create conflicts with flytampa scenery.

the france vfr scenery installs 2 important geomodifs files in the name\scenery directory :

AP931250.BGL is renamed to AP931250.ori and a new file AP931250_FVFR_RP.BGL is created

HP931250.bgl is renamed to HP931250.ori and a new file HP931250_FVFR_EX.bgl is created

so if you deactivate all ...931250_FVFR... files and rename the .ori files to .bgl you'll restore situation before installing france vfr scenery, but take care to not overwrite flytampa geomodifs files, so ask for it before :-)

congratulations for this wonderfull scenery, that is not at all the same development approach than mine, but is really the best one for this region :-)

now flysimmers can fly to la guadeloupe and la martinique too :-)

Hmmm. HP, AP, FL file mods by several addons covering the same area can get messy.

Short description of what our scenery does. It backups original HP and FL (no AP) and places what I call stripped-mods named as the originals. I call them stripped because they look like the attached shot, containing only original Microsoft HP and FL data, but with the respective areas' data missing completely. These stripped areas are then re-filled with data from HP and FL files in our local FlyTampa-Maarten/scenery/ folder called:

FL931250_fill.bgl & HP931250_fill.bgl

This is probably the best way to handle it in FS9 to make it easiest for multiple Addons covering the same area to stay compatible. This isn't however automatic compatibility, if any 3rd part Addon needs to change HP or FL data within the same file (for the other islands), we as well as the other developers would need to offer additional HP and FL files that are in-sync.

that is exactly what my files do ! a hole in the default geomodifs and the scenery data in the local scenery folder.

except with th AP file because you certainly change the level of the runway with an empty afcad in wordl\scenery.

so the problem is certainly the AP file that need to be deactivated and the default one reactivated.

Excellent, means we are 99% compatible already :)

Exactly. I first used a modded AP file but that didn't do the whole job I needed (don't recall what reasons). I later left the AP file alone and went with the Afcad in world/scenery/ solution.

Since you can easily test all your current & future Caribbean sceneries please let me know what the best solution would be, if it is just renaming AP931250_FVFR_RP.BGL or downloading a new file. I will then post a sticky thread with instructions but lets make sure we know/agree on what the best solution is :)
